Story
After a broken engagement, Cher decides to leave heartbreak behind by signing up for a holiday house swap. For the next few weeks, she’ll ditch sunny California to spend her first Hanukkah in New York City, a time of snow-covered sidewalks, festive store windows, hot cocoa, and...cute neighbors? As Cher is moving into her temporary new apartment, Eliot is moving his ex’s belongings out, and he soon finds himself offering to play tour guide. He’s nursing a broken heart too, and spending time showing the beautiful traveler around is exactly what he needs.

This was a feel good story with a HEA. Easy to listen to. Was able to multi task and still follow the story. There was zero spicy scenes. It was a very nice change to have a holiday theme story that wasn't about Christmas too.

Story
Shayla adopted her niece at birth, when her sister turned her back on the baby without a real explanation besides the "strangeness" of the father's people. Aislinn is ill, and the doctors have given up hope, so she takes the girl to Bear Island, where her father and his people live, praying for a miracle. She finds truths she isn't ready to face among a clan of bear-shifters. In Kade, she finds an angry bear denied the knowledge of his daughter's existence.

wanted to enjoy it

I usually really enjoy books like this however it just seemed like the storyline was to rushed. this book lacked all of the deep descriptive internal monologue that helps to deepen a story giving a stronger pull to the main characters. it simply felt like it could have been much better. not to mention the narration irrated me a bit with how they said Umen instead of the correct word... Human

Done with being the world's biggest pushover, Haley decides that things are going to change starting with the aggravating neighbor who has too much charm and not enough restraint. What she didn't expect was to be sucked into his world, but Haley has a game plan and she won't let herself forget just what the bad boy next door is capable of. I found myself getting frustrated or irrated with the lack of communication between the characters but...i guess thats where the drama came in. I was very confused with the obsession a main character has. I feel like there was so many sweet moments that i wished there was more of. There was several moments I was thrown off by some aggressive moments of what easily comes off as forceful interactions.

This book has it all!
Friendship, lust, humour, narrated good (not the weird robotic voices), sexy accent. The balance between spicy and sweet is perfect. It is a great book and one I think I will enjoy more than once.
