About this listen

What happens when an almost 30-year-old virgin agrees to let her Scottish footballer best friend give her some lessons in seduction?

Lots of banter, awkwardness, jealousy, and heat.

Midfielder Maclay "Mac" Logan is a loud-mouthed, tattooed ginger content with focusing on football. But when an adorable, freckled seamstress comes barreling into his life, he finds Netflix-And-Bickering with her to be his new favorite pastime.

Freya Cook is used to being the invisible woman with a needle and thread, offering cheeky punchlines as she helps dress London's finest. She's plus-sized in body and spirit, and other than her friendship with Mac, talking to the opposite sex is one skill she never mastered.

However, after one innocent game of Never Have I Ever, Mac offers to play Love Coach for Freya.

What neither of them see coming are the feelings that develop when the clothes come off.

Now they’re both about to learn the biggest lesson of all: Don't fall in love with your best friend.

Blindsided is a full length (97,000 words) contemporary rom-com standalone with a sports theme.

Highly Entertaining

The narrators did a fantastic job with this duet style narration. I enjoyed and was entertained by the H/h and the low angst storyline. This book had me laughing out loud more than once and it also made me smile.

5⭐️s for Mac & Freya!!!

I love Blindsided!! When you first meet Mac and Freya in Payback, it’s evident their chemistry is off the charts! Their relationship growth from Payback to Blindsided is a beautiful balance of charm, humor, and genuine connection. Amy Daws writes hilarious, thoughtful, lovable characters! Freya is delightfully awkward, fierce, and relatable. Mac is the grounded, funny, pro footballer you can’t help but love! Blindsided is sidesplitting funny, heartfelt, and utterly endearing! It’s the perfect balance of wit, sweet, and steam!!

Will Watt and Charlotte Cole give wonderful, swoon-worthy performances. 😂❤️🔥

What a Love Story!!!

Mac and Frera are the coolest characters ever! Red hair, Scotland, football, the grandpa and his advice, the party with the drinking game "never have I" ... I've read probably 400 of these books and THIS one is the first one that has made me cry AND THAT says a lot! A lot of books do the frumpy homey cat girl in the small apartment with the so so job, but this one does it well! It's the accents, the personality of the couple and their fights that are so heartwarming. I grin, I laugh, I cry and I'm on the edge of my seat ... it's a keeper for sure! ESPECIALLY THE NARRATION - I didn't like it at first, but within in an hour, it was like an episode of Bridgerton!

Wonderful Surprise

I never heard of this author but wanted to expand my library so I took a chance to listen to this story. Wow, let me say I love the story of Freya and Mac. It was funny and witty, with plenty of emotional ups and downs. Both narrators did an excellent job, which for me is very important. They portrayed the characters perfectly and I couldn't help but fall in love with them. I want my own Mac after this read.

Thanks for the wonderful story. Definitely recommend this author and look forward to finding more books with these narrators.
