I was upgraded to first class on a flight from London to New York. The food, champagne, and service were impeccable. The blue-eyed man sitting next to me, even better. He was suave and intelligent. We talked and laughed, and something clicked. Fate took over and the plane was grounded, and we had an unexpected stopover for the night. With no plans, we made our own.

I’m 40 and in the process of being diagnosed with adhd and this book is amazingly helpful. I don’t want to change who I am but I do want to have better control over the things that are adhd related that make my life so much more difficult than I feel like it needs to be. This book is full of helpful ideas and suggestions which I love and plan on implementing in my life. The fact that Dr. Hamdani also has adhd is really helpful because she knows what it’s like dealing with it and I think that gives her a unique perspective and understanding.

Such a Great Book!

This was such a good book, I loved getting to know the characters from their youth and hearing their story develop over time.
I like how flawed Emery is and that she doesn’t really try to hide it. She’s fiercely independent and doesn’t expect anyone to rescue her, she’s going through an extremely difficult set of circumstances in part to pull herself out of the situation that she’s in. I usually hate having to read when a character is humiliated but when she realized it isn’t Reed she slept with its pretty epic!
Nash is just amazing, I love how fiercely he loves and how protective he is yet to everyone else he seems cold. Their chemistry together is off the charts - the author is ridiculously talented at that!
The narrators, as usual with Desiree and Sebastian, were amazing. The accents were accurate (and swoon worthy in Sebastian’s case) and really made the story come alive.

I loved the relationship that the characters shared. How after so many years they still had such an intense connection and that Damien was so confident that they belonged and would end up together.
I liked how the majority of the book was based around the main characters love story (and this author especially knows how to write great romances) but there was also the mob drama going in the background that kept it a little suspenseful and provides some extra drama.
And I’m a sucker for a HEA and this author does an amazing job at that as well. Highly recommend this one!
Both narrators did an amazing job and made the characters come to life. Their voices were authentic and didn’t feel forced. I especially love Zachary Webber’s voice, I’m pretty sure I could listen to him read the dictionary all day and be perfectly happy.

Loved These Characters

Another great book from Parker S Huntington, she’s quickly become one of my favorite authors. Her stories and characters have so much depth while keeping a bit of humor sprinkled within it. Renata Vitali was no exception and it did not disappoint.
Renanta is exceptionally strong and hides her true self from most of the world. Damiano is Protective, dominant, ambitious, calculating, dangerous and everything a good book boyfriend should be. The characters constant banter is entertaining and the tension between them is written extremely well.
I also love the quotes that the author includes at the beginning of each chapter. There are several in her books that have really struck a chord within me, enough so that I’ve jotted them down. It’s just an extra touch that sets her work apart for me.
