Story
"My father had more than 50 children." So begins the haunting memoir of Anna LeBaron, daughter of the notorious polygamist and murderer Ervil LeBaron. With her father wanted by the FBI for killing anyone who tried to leave his cult - a radical branch of Mormonism - Anna and her siblings were constantly on the run with the other sister-wives. Often starving and always desperate, the children lived in terror. Even though there were dozens of them together, Anna always felt alone.

Great informative true story

I found this a fascinating listen. To hear what real life inside a polygamist cult from a child’s perspective is. The author did a tremendous job stating the facts while leaving off the emotions of blame, resentment & anger that most certainly must be there for her at least time to time for the hardships she has had to endure and over come.

Everything that the book suggests is to make him fall deeper in love with you - meaning, a man who already likes or loves you. But you want that deep, long-lasting connection that helps relationships last 10 or 20 years. According to research and actual couples I've coached or known personally, it helps get them through times that break most relationships.

I wanted to like this book. I’m very interested in masculine & feminine polarity and have listened to several books. And many relationship books in general. I would recommend ANY of the other books I have read over this book. Too many of the puzzle pieces missing in this one. Plus the “bonus chapter” at the end is total garbage. Author is sounding self righteous and makes judgmental assumptions and remarks about his clients. Unbelievable. Ladies if you want to become cherish by your husband I recommend Laura Doyle’s Empowered Wife book & free weekly podcasts. That one is life changing and so many examples to make it usable. I have become cherished by my man using that book!! Good luck.

Story
Some twins communicate in a secret language all their own. For Whiskey and Charlie Ferns, the two-way alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie, delta) whispered back and forth over their crackly walkie-talkies is the best they can do. But as the brothers grow up, they grow apart. Whiskey is everything Charlie is not - bold, daring, carefree - and Charlie blames his brother for always stealing the limelight, always striving ahead while seeming to push Charlie back.

Jason Odom has his opinions and is eager to tell you how you should do this van living lifestyle. He does have good information and resources!!! It was worth the listen. I’m interested in van camping in the future. But he can’t convince me I won’t enjoy cruises, because I sure do! Lol. Some opinions could have been left out. Plus his sex poem could have been left for only his wife in my opinion. But I didn’t get too bother by this stuff to lose perspective of the great parts. I wish expenses like medical coverage were talked about. This is a large expense most people don’t want to drop and it clearly wasn’t included in the budget section. It does vary by person but it’s also a more necessary evil unlike materialistic possessions.
Overall it is a great and unique book and I’m glad I purchased it. I will for sure be referencing it when I decide to van camp.

Best weight loss book yet

I have done so many diets, lose weight but always gain it back because they involved restriction or too time consuming to keep up in the long run. This is just a great life style adjustment. While I thought I already knew this information, I listened anyway and sure enough I learned more & gained motivation. I never believed sauna usage would help because I thought I would drink the water loss right back. But I started going 4-5 x a week anyway and I can see a big difference. The lbs are melting off faster then they were before. I’m now a believer. Thanks JJ for so many helpful tips.

Story
Two teenagers, a Greek Cypriot and a Turkish Cypriot, meet at a taverna on the island they both call home. In the taverna, hidden beneath garlands of garlic, chili peppers and creeping honeysuckle, Kostas and Defne grow in their forbidden love for each other. A fig tree stretches through a cavity in the roof, and this tree bears witness to their hushed, happy meetings and eventually, to their silent, surreptitious departures. The tree is there when war breaks out, when the capital is reduced to ashes and rubble, and when the teenagers vanish.

This is a good story to discuss in a book club and find out the many views that came out of listening to the story. However, this isn’t my personal cup of tea for an every day listen.
