Story
Reidon Ward's first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year he's gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and there's no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isn't the most terrifying CAD they've ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting. After all… The Sectionals tournament has arrived. Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers.

The Empire’s ancient foes have come to destroy, bringing with them threats new and old. The Blood Clan pirates and the savage Hudar Horde cavalry are joined by the magic of the Vandil, long believed lost to the ages. Kullen and Natisse must fight to preserve the threads that hold Dimvein together. Only together can they and their allies both high and low keep the enemy from burning everything they’ve built to the ground. It’s a race to the end, blades slashing and fire raging.

Nope, not the end and a really good book. If I have a complaint on the series so far it is how fast the relationships have progressed in such a short time. Only days.

Story
Alex Green is a young girl in a world much like ours, except for its most seminal event: the Mass Dragoning of 1955, when hundreds of thousands of ordinary wives and mothers sprouted wings, scales, and talons; left a trail of fiery destruction in their path; and took to the skies. Was it their choice? What will become of those left behind? Why did Alex’s beloved aunt Marla transform but her mother did not? Alex doesn’t know. It’s taboo to speak of.

Dumb in so many ways
Reviewed: 08-12-23
Extreme stereotype of toxic masculinity. All the characters are the same, abusive, controlling idiots. The MC is an obnoxious”I can do it myself” who instantly needs the toxic males in her life. There is no growth, no change just the same poor writing over and over.
The writing is disjointed and confusing. The narrator has the same laid back tone the whole time. Does not matter if there is a fight, sex, death or anything else. It all sounds like a boring country drive. She does do different voices for characters though.

It’s time for everyone to put their war boots on and put their cultivation to use.

A rushed and spoiled ending to a good series. This series started out great peaked about half way through and ended on a low note in my opinion. Felt like he wrote this week because he had to but did not care about it or the last one at all.

Story
Every day we experience the uncertainty, risks, and emotional exposure that define what it means to be vulnerable or to dare greatly. Based on 12 years of pioneering research, Dr. Brené Brown dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and argues that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage. Brown explains how vulnerability is both the core of difficult emotions like fear, grief, and disappointment, and the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, empathy, innovation, and creativity.
