Publisher's summary

War has come to Dimvein.

The Empire’s ancient foes have come to destroy, bringing with them threats new and old. The Blood Clan pirates and the savage Hudar Horde cavalry are joined by the magic of the Vandil, long believed lost to the ages.

Kullen and Natisse must fight to preserve the threads that hold Dimvein together. Only together can they and their allies both high and low keep the enemy from burning everything they’ve built to the ground. It’s a race to the end, blades slashing and fire raging.

Silver Spines is the third installment in Dragonblood Assassin from number one Audible and Washington Post best seller Jaime Castle and epic fantasy legend Andy Peloquin, perfect for fans of the Forgotten Realms, Joe Abercrombie, David Dalglish, and Kel Kade.

Great book except for a couple things

Let me start by saying this book was awesome! So addictive! I think I read it in a day and a half! So, I definitely recommend it! That being said, two things that I didn’t like about it were: Firstly, that K and N were barely together throughout the book, and their dynamic is one of the things that make these books so awesome in the first place! Secondly, the ending is a cliffhanger - in the most extreme way - like in an irritating way! I really hope that the authors don’t wait too long before writing the next book!

***Spoiler Alert*** Kallum better not be dead or else I'm done with this series! 🫣😬

Can’t get enough

I knew from the first story that I would like this series. I even recommended it to my picky daughter. Hoping this isn’t the last book.
This is, by far, my favorite story/narrator(s) combo.
The fight “scenes” are impeccable. I can hear every droplet of blood spilled in its various ways… and that is due to the words written AND they way they are read.
So impressed with this series.

The scream i let out

I was so excited to see this latest installment of this series! It has kept me on the edge of my seat! I couldn’t wait to listen to it!!! Annnnnddd wow what a book it is!!! The constant push of action, the way the story keeps moving and dancing forward is amazing! I honestly can’t wait for the next ones. The cliffhangers may give me a cardiac issue however the story is so worth it.
The performance is great!
I love the play between the male and female aspects, it gives a good play between what the story saying and how it is feeling.
Worth the read! Honestly so excited!

Thrilling and surprising

It’s captivating from the 1st chapter to the last. Each book of the DragonBlood Assassin series I think can’t get better than the last But it does.

What an ending..

Uh.. In a very good way that was a not cool ending cliffhanger. I originally thought this was a trilogy, so I was very surprised how it ended. Did not see who Red Claw was at all.. Can’t wait for the next book.

Uh, yeah, what jetskidmsaid

Great story so far, although I wish there were more closure to this particular book. Just an observation, but Although the series is nothing like the Stormlight Archives, I kept finding myself having flashbacks. It happened so often that I'm curious if it were done intentionally. I'm sure that it had a lot to do with the choice of narrators (which actually led me to the series in the first place), however there are multiple instances where the names of characters are nearly the same as those in SLA. Having said that, it really was just an observation, and doesn't really detract from the merits of this series.
