Story
Nick Winters and Noel Carter have known each other their whole lives. After years of shared family holidays, working together on the Winters’ Christmas tree farm, and being each other's safe haven, they wouldn't dream of crossing the line from friends to something more.... But when Nick comes home for the holidays after serving overseas and finds that his long-term girlfriend has decided to get her stocking stuffed elsewhere, Noel is there to pick him up and show him that instead of a Blue Christmas he can still have a Wonderful Christmastime without his cheating ex.

Was enjoying the story until they started the descriptive sex scenes. It totally ruined it for me. That's not what I want in a Christmas story.

It was very hard to stay focused. The narrator was wonderful and the only reason I could tolerate it as long as I did. The story is all over the place. I found myself totally spacing out and missing chunks of the story. I would rewind and found I really hadnt missed anything. Do not expect to listen to any other Dorothy Sayers works. I had tried one other of her stories that had a different narrator and wasnt able to get very far into it.

Story
Sir John Penlyon is planning to spend Christmas at his estate with his niece and his friend Danby, the closest thing he has to family since disowning his daughter years ago. (She eloped with the parson, who was, of course, penniless.) Danby suggests that at Christmastime the estate needs the presence of small children, and offers to find some - the “hirelings” - despite Sir John’s skepticism. Three children duly arrive, and the youngest, precocious four year-old Moppet, quickly endears herself to Sir John.

The beginning was a bit slow and hard to keep my attention, but I am so very glad I was too busy to turn it off. It was a wonderfully charming story. Even though I was 80% sure I knew how it was going to end, The story and the narrations were so good I couldn't stop listening.

Story
Frances Wynn, the American-born Countess of Harleigh, enjoys more freedom as a widow than she did as a wife. With her young daughter in tow, Frances rents a home in Belgravia and prepares to welcome her sister, Lily, arriving from New York - for her first London season.

Would have enjoyed the story more but for the narrator. Her countenance was very annoying to me, so much so that i would find myself drifting away. Normally if this happens during a story I rewind, but i wanted to finish without having to hear her any longer.

I did enjoy the 1st 2 books, however this one was a bit too ridiculous with the "Will they, Won't they" part of the story. It totally ruined it for me. I dont mind a bit of romance in mystery books, however I dont like romance novels with a little bit of a mystery plot. I wont be going on with the series.

Story
Three years ago in a large Victorian house on the Jersey Shore in the town of Harbor Haven, fledgling private investigator Paul and his client, Maxie Malone, were murdered. Since then, recent divorcée and reluctant ghost whisperer Alison Kerby and her 10-year-old daughter, Melissa, have moved in and converted the place to a guesthouse, where Maxie and Paul are now checked in for an eternity and ready to solve any case that comes their way - or at least spook the guests (who love it). Alison’s got a lot on her plate at the moment, however, so when Paul discovers the 300-year-old ghost of a small boy in the house, he decides not to involve her in the case.

Alison Kerby’s guesthouse is haunted all year round. Surviving the dead of winter, though? That’s a spooky proposition. Even with a blizzard bearing down on New Jersey, Alison can count on at least two guests—Paul and Maxie, the stubborn ghosts who share her shore town inn.
