The absolute best thing about this book is the education. Yes, the recipes are there, but explains why certain things mix while others don't, how to create your own recipes, and what to use depending on the goals you are trying to reach. Very grateful to these ladies.

Wow! This book totally works. Our child is 28 months and I have to admit that I was super skeptical / nervous going into potty training. I had started "Oh Crap" but really disliked a the voice of the author and her disregard for the child as a person. A friend recommended this book - and I found the tone and approach much more my style. I was still skeptical, however, that it would all be a total disaster. We followed the book pretty much word for word, and WOW - it worked!!! We are currently on Day 3 of potty training and it has been a complete and total success. Day 1 we had a number of pee accidents but by lunch, our kiddo was peeing in the potty. Day 2 we had just 2 accidents in the morning, but the rest of the day was a huge success (and there was even a poop in the potty that night - which felt like winning the potty training Olympics). Day 3 we had no accidents at all. We even ventured out of the house for ice cream. Our child's "sleep undies" have been dry after naps and waking up in the morning (and we weren't even trying to potty train for night). All in all, I am thrilled about this entire process, and so happy we all made it through without anyone (child and parents included) feeling traumatized. There were a few tears along the way, but really we worked together with our child to make sure they felt loved, supported, heard and safe through this milestone.

I really like this book. It has a lot of strategies for improving focus that are very thoughtfully presented. Having been "scattered" for most of my life, I find the information in this book is already making a difference. Not only does the author know what he's talking about but he presents the information in a way that helps a person who has trouble remaining focused understand and retain it.

This is a wonderful recourse for those of us who don't communicate. I have learned more about my husband of 42 years after going halfway through this book. I just wish they would come up w another book w more questions. I carry it in my purse so if we're in the car or restaurant I can get to it.

Working through the exercises does give me anxiety, so I only work on it a little at a time. My doctor said it’s okay that working on it gives me anxiety because it is more of a controlled environment.
