It turns out the last of the dragon rider fae have been locked in a trap, a mansion with no doors, no way to leave for five hundred years, and I’m the first fae to enter. Tw for suicidal thoughts. One closed door scene. I’m excited to see where this adventure takes story. Quite the cliffhanger.

Story
One typo, and a boy and girl connect by chance. Wishing each other a happy Valentine’s Day isn’t the end. In fact, it becomes a friendly annual tradition—with rules: no pics, no real names, nothing too personal. As years pass, the rules for their email “dates” are breaking, and they’re sharing more than they imagined—including the urge to ask…what if we actually met?

This is exactly as advertised. Not much to it. Very short love story that spans the years in bite sized emails. Loved the twist.

Story
The first time I met Winter Marks, I almost took her out with my Jeep. To be fair, she came out of nowhere. I flirted with her, and she flipped me off and disappeared into the woods on her bike. But she left me a souvenir: a single hockey skate. Seemed to me that divine intervention shouldn’t be ignored. She was my icy Cinderella, and I would be her Prince Not-So-Charming. Winter was more than just a sassy, badass hockey-playing hottie. She’s stuck in a prison of a life. And I’m the perfect escape. Neither of us expected to fall. Or for the truth to shatter us.

Spicy, sweet and serious

Not all books are worthy of a written review, but this is one. The main characters had momentous things happen to them in this story. Hardships to overcome. And it was done in a beautiful and sweet way. The darkness of the events in the story offsets the lightness of their relationship. And it is very well done.
There are definitely some spicy scenes, so if that isn’t your jam there may be a few chapters to avoid. But if it is then you’ll appreciate the chemistry of the leads in all aspects.

Another lovely book about love and forgiveness.
Chapter 19 & 25 made me laugh out loud. I knew instantly where this love story was going- but I may have also watched too much Star Trek, just like our FMC. A mix of multiple dimensions and time travel feel gives this romance a wonderful paranormal/sci-fi feel. 5/5 recommend

This story completely wrecked me in the best way. I read it within 24 hours of starting it. The only reason it took me that long is I had to work and sleep during that period (I didn’t do a great job of doing either). Avoid spoilers for this book. I wish I had.
The love story is breathtaking and erotic. But be warned that this story does come with some triggering aspects: Non-consensual sex, graphic violence, torture and suicide.

Lovely

Overall no complaints. It’s a lovely story. Made me cry, and was creative enough to surprise me in small and lovely ways.
The only thing negative thing I would say is that the voice acting wasn’t consistent. They had one person narrate a chapter, based on who’s POV it was. I personally love stories that do that. However, that person narrated other POV characters in their chapter. Not just the character who was their main voice. Occasionally it would get confusing when people couldn’t agree on the accent of a character. Especially until I figured out it was happening. One of the characters sounded anywhere from Australian to cockney depending on who read, and it made things confusing at first. If that hadn’t been so confusing it would have been 5 stars easy.
Overall fantastic read.
