excuse me but I'm in love with this sweet and perfect novella
I almost NEVER and I mean it, I almost NEVER listen to the same book twice
But I was having meh day and I was looking for something to hype me up and I decided to listen to this again
I'm still can't get over it, it was perfect and everything I wanted in a novella - perfec MMC FMC, letters, romance!

The Exception to the Rule is part of the quick listen series The Improbable Meet-Cute Series featuring six books by six authors. This is book 1. This meet cute is a mistaken email address on Valentine’s Day that starts off a yearly correspondence by two strangers. It follows them from high school through grad school, ages 14 & 16 – 25 & 26. It was a cute story. The first half was a bit hard to listen to only because it was emails back and forth and we had to repeatedly hear the to and from email address, subject line, and the date and time for every email and some of the emails were literally one sentence long so it was a bit tedious to hear that repeatedly. Otherwise, it was really fun to watch their relationship develop. It was predictable but I think that is pretty expected with this type of story. It was a quick listen at 1 hour 56 minutes. Both narrators did a good job. I listened to this book free through Kindle Unlimited. Overall, I give this book 4 stars.

Up until chapter 12 was emails, which was really distracting with the “tos” and “froms.” However, once that was done (and they still popped up within the narrative) it was a really cute STEM story about TA/Student, penpal romance

I absolutely adored this story. A great You’ve Got Mail vibe, but so much better! The relationship starts much early on and you see them grow and connect as the years go on so when they finally meet is nothing but perfection! Narration is just as perfect! Love it!

Omg! This short story was super cute. C.sun16 and t.sol18 exchanges email every year on/around Valentine’s Day for 10 years until an accidental meeting changes everything.

Marli Watson and Andrew Gibson narrated this beautifully. The exchanges are fun and flirty. It’s the perfect amuse-bouche.
