What is your love worth?
Reviewed: 05-21-25
So many women have tolerated infidelity or even did so themselves and broken families if not just marriages… Are humans really made for monogamy? If a person has committed adultery in past, they are most likely to do so again…. So one should ask themselves “is it worth it?” More importantly if one the receiving side of betrayal; “What am I worth?” Giving up the best years of ones life only to end up broken and tossed aside is difficult to accept and revenge could most likely be the result so in fantasy I loved the story. In reality, I would say, Leave and take everything. Your worth more than that!”

Story
Michael Crichton, creator of Jurassic Park, ER, Twister, and Westworld, had a passion project he’d been pursuing for years, ahead of his untimely passing in 2008. Knowing how special it was, his wife, Sherri Crichton, held back his notes and the partial manuscript until she found the right author to complete it: James Patterson, the world’s most popular storyteller.

The evolution of a posthumous tale:
Reviewed: 06-24-24
While both Crichton and Patterson are two of my favorite authors; Crighton was my favorite. since we also both lived on the same island in Hawaii and I had often imagined being able to meet him in person. Where I actually had an inside opportunity to do so I put it off and regretted it ever since and it taught me a big life lesson which is to always take the gift of “opportunity,”when you have it. because you may never have it again!
Michael wrote several stories that took place in Hawaii and they were all instant favorites. Of course we are all familiar with Jurassic Park, but if you haven’t read Micro, that’s an absolute must! meanwhile, I’ve read I believe all of his books and it’s with great satisfaction to have read from a real gifted writer who did his research thoroughly and his books aren’t just entertaining, but thought-provoking the world took a big loss when he passed away, thank you to his family for trying so hard to keep his memory and his gift of storytelling aliveby finding other gifted writers to pick up where he left off

Running away
Reviewed: 02-25-22
I’m familiar with running away from things.
As a woman who has a similar feeling about her own marriage and life over 60, I can relate. Best thing to help an unhappy or boring relationship is to communicate and try new things. Better than divorce. Salvage is most recommended; however, if either hubby is on “wrong team” or wife, cut and run. Anyways love the story.

But as I continued to read with high hopes it would get better; it didn’t. I was hoping all the way to the end that it would have a surprise and worthwhile ending. Instead of a good read, it was decidedly the worst way to have wasted the many hours I had, with continued hope that maybe I missed a good part when I fell asleep so re listened to several chapters. Phhhht.

Story
It was a typical evening at a mall outside Portland, Maine. Three teenage friends waited for the movie to start. A boy flirted with the girl selling sunglasses. Mothers and children shopped together, and the manager at the video game store tended to customers. Then the shooters arrived. The chaos and carnage lasted only eight minutes before the killers were taken down. But for those who lived through it, the effects would last forever.

Law n deserved mercy

I loved this book. Its view of dry legality vs more humanitarian "law" serves as a reminder that sometimes, laws or rules are meant to be broken. Circumstances, situations can change what a law might have been intended.
