Story
A disturbing tale of a young man's uncanny ability to remain both young and beautiful while descending into a life of heartless debauchery, The Picture of Dorian Gray was considered proof of both Wilde's genius and his perversion. Oscar Wilde's scandalous best seller of 1891 was one of the most damning pieces of evidence used against him in the trial that brought about his downfall.

Story
Cordelia knows her mother is . . . unusual. Their house doesn’t have any doors between rooms—there are no secrets in this house—and her mother doesn't allow Cordelia to have a single friend. Unless you count Falada, her mother's beautiful white horse. The only time Cordelia feels truly free is on her daily rides with him. But more than simple eccentricity sets her mother apart. Other mothers don’t force their daughters to be silent and motionless for hours, sometimes days, on end. Other mothers aren’t sorcerers.

I loved this so much, the narrator was just excellent and the magical realism so fun. The inner struggle of the main character could get a tiny bit drawn out but this was such a fun audio book!

When Finlay Ashowan joins the staff of the King and Queen of Daxaria, he’s an enigma. No one knows where he comes from or how he came to be where he is, which suits Fin just fine. He’s satisfied simply serving as the royal cook, keeping nosy passersby out of his kitchen, and concocting some truly uncanny meals. But Fin’s secret identity doesn’t stay hidden for long. After all, it’s not every day a house witch and his kitten familiar, Kraken, take to meddling in imperial affairs.

I.love.Joellen.
Reviewed: 05-25-18
I dont think I have ever laughed out loud reading a book as much as I have with this. The main character, Joellen (sp?), is absolutley hilarious. Romance novels, with the low self esteem woman falling for the guy "out of her league" is a tired concept.
However, Geissinger works this in with background and humor, it's refreshing, and relatable!
The narrator, is my new favorite, I love her. She does an amazing job, I cant love this book more. SO FUN.
Three thousand stars...
