About this listen

Number one New York Times best-selling author Nora Roberts begins the Dragon Heart Legacy - a new trilogy of adventure, romance, and magick in The Awakening.

In the realm of Talamh, a teenage warrior named Keegan emerges from a lake holding a sword - representing both power and the terrifying responsibility to protect the Fey. In another realm known as Philadelphia, a young woman has just discovered she possesses a treasure of her own....

When Breen Kelly was a girl, her father would tell her stories of magical places. Now she’s an anxious 20-something mired in student debt and working a job she hates. But one day she stumbles upon a shocking discovery: Her mother has been hiding an investment account in her name. It has been funded by her long-lost father - and it’s worth nearly four million dollars.

This newfound fortune would be life-changing for anyone. But little does Breen know that when she uses some of the money to journey to Ireland, it will unlock mysteries she couldn’t have imagined. Here, she will begin to understand why she kept seeing that silver-haired, elusive man, why she imagined his voice in her head saying, "Come home, Breen Siobhan. It’s time you came home." Why she dreamed of dragons. And where her true destiny lies - through a portal in Galway that takes her to a land of faeries and mermaids, to a man named Keegan, and to the courage in her own heart that will guide her through a powerful, dangerous destiny.....

Could listen to this story on and on and on...

I honestly some out loud "NOOOO" when the music started, signaling that this book was over. What am I going to do now?!?! Wait. Dang it! I'm going to wait for the second...and hopefully a third!! Have always loved Nora, especially her most recent work. I'm a fantasy girl so her magic and fantasies are my favorites. The Awakening answered all my wants. What a cool way to escape our uncool, current reality. Narration was great as well!

starts a bit slow

the story is a bit predictable, but good character design. However the basis for more is there.

Good story, needs to learn proper pronouns

Nora Robert's wrote a great story as usual, but she needs to learn to use proper transgender pronouns. I have a trans child, so it was distracting.

Great narration for a great book

Please have this narrator read the next book if possible. It made this book immersive and interesting. The book itself is great but for someone who listens to audio books more often I loved the way this was done. The story was magical and everything I as a reader wanted.

Fabulous

I love Nora Roberts and have been reading her books for over 25 years now. I know some people don't like the newer books but I love the way she's going and cannot wait for the second book to be released. I thought the narrator was wonderful. She created believable, distinct and unique characters and I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and narration of this story. Thank you Nora for another fabulous, exciting new trilogy. I'll be watching for the next book in the series.

Love!!!!

I covet Nora’s writing skills!! Escape from reality yet help in dealing with our own life! I would love to sit and watch her work! No criticism can be allowed on! Such an escape of life but survival in another is my life wish! I LOVE THE FANTASY... others may say it is repeat.....BLAH NORA has a specific story for ALL HER YEARS ....AND THIS IS ANOTHER FAVORITE SERIES! Can’t wait for next!
BTW. NORA’s series of recent should be made into television or movie series !!! I want to sit and write like her!!!

Another Good one!

I love that Nora Roberts has taken the last two series in the direction she has, instead of the predictable rut she had been in.
My only objection is the use of the word "girl" way too many times!
