It makes me wonder about the closeness of fiction and reality. Great book to read right now with all the gross behavior of our government.

Every character was memorable. I read it in fear that some of my favorite characters would be the ones to die! Kept me on my toes.

The narrator speaks slowly and clearly. Explains the mystery of nutrition on all organs ... heart, pancreas, diabetes, the bones and more! Easy to understand!

Short, but no loss to the mystery. It goes in circles a bit, but author skillfully ties it together.

When I first started, I thought it was going to be Gone Girl again. Started that way, but it was totally different and more. Would make a great movie.

I only stayed with this to find the ending, and then it didn't finish. Poor selection.

Mystery and romance can go together

I really liked this book. As a mystery reader, I like romance in small doses -- this was enough to make it fun and predictable without pouring through endless steamy pages -- I sound like a prude! The character development was great and the bantering between the hero and the grandmother warms your heart. It has an interesting plot line and the making of some great friendships. It would probably be classified as "chick lit" -- but it's "quality chick lit".

When I saw that Baldacci had a new book, I just hit the button to order. He never lets me down, and this book is no exception. His new character, Atlee, is everything I would like to be -- persistent, tall, strong, caring, and bright. The story could actually be believable in our political times. I also enjoyed the use of both male and female readers -- makes it much easier to keep track of the characters. In bringing in the death of her twin sister, you know there will be another book. Looking forward to it. I hope men will embrace this book as much as they do Baldacci's male characters.

A view from both sides of the tragedy

This was such a tragic story -- similar to the news stories we see about boys in private schools and their abuse of women. I have always been repulsed by these stories, so it was interesting to hear it from the other side. Lives ruined and/or sidetracked =- much of it due to alcohol.
