Story
We often struggle to let some people go, especially when they made that decision. We question the universe, we question ourselves, and we question everyone around us but we never truly get our answers. Letting someone go takes time, patience, and commitment to actively stop ourselves from relapsing and thinking about that person again. The Art of Letting Go helps you understand why, how, and when you should let someone go so you can move on and never look back.

I’m glad this was free

There were some good quotes, and then some really lame and standard quotes. There is no depth to this book whatsoever. Just surface level things, no concrete things or exercises that contributes to the act or practice of letting go. I think it one point it says, even if you don’t understand, just do it (let go). Not very helpful. It’s a short book, very surface level. Very mehhh. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. There are other books out there that are much better.

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Great book, terrible narration
Reviewed: 06-02-24
The storyline is fantastic, such great characters. The narration was some of the worst I have ever encountered. I don’t know what this person was thinking, they would get so breathless it was laughable and distracting. It totally took away from the story and what was happening. Whether it was an intense battle scene or a passionate love scene, this narrator gave such an uneven performance. It was actually very hard to get through the story and finish. Did the narrator not know how the previous books were read? She changed the voices of some of the main characters completely devaluing their roles. If I ever encounter another story read by this person, I will avoid at all costs.

Story
On an April day in 1937, the sky opens and fire rains down upon the small Spanish town of Guernica. Seventeen-year-old Sibi and her family are caught up in the horror. Griff, an American military attaché, pulls Sibi from the wreckage, and it’s only the first time he saves her life in a span of hours. When Germany claims no involvement in the attack, insisting the Spanish Republic was responsible, Griff guides Sibi to lie to Nazi officials. If she or her sisters reveal that they saw planes bearing swastikas, the gestapo will silence them—by any means necessary.

Excellent story, very engaging, I couldn’t stop listening. The characters are very relatable. Even though it’s fiction based on historical facts, it truly brought things to life.

A Beautiful and terrible story

A story of human triumph through some of the worst human atrocities in history. The story is captivating and hard to stop ‘reading’ or ‘listening’ to. The narrator did a fantastic job at making the story come to life. His various accents also really helped understand all the different people from different countries. Truly an amazing book. I highly recommend it.

Story
There may be no tidy solutions or pithy answers to life’s big challenges, but Michelle Obama believes that we can all locate and lean on a set of tools to help us better navigate change and remain steady within flux. In The Light We Carry, she opens a frank and honest dialogue with listeners, considering the questions many of us wrestle with: How do we build enduring and honest relationships? How can we discover strength and community inside our differences? What tools do we use to address feelings of self-doubt or helplessness? What do we do when it all starts to feel like too much?

This book spoke directly to my heart. It helped me understand the uncertainty I am feeling in such an unstable world. It put clarity on to those things without dwelling on them and making it a point of negativity. The ultimate message was hope and gladness. I am glad for this book and it will always be a go to book when I need encouragement to carry on, push forward, and no matter what share my light. I am grateful for this book, and such an amazing perspective.
