Story
Former spy Maggie Bird came to the seaside village of Purity, Maine, eager to put the past behind her after a mission went tragically wrong. These days, she’s living quietly on her chicken farm, still wary of blowback from the events that forced her early retirement. But when a body turns up in Maggie’s driveway, she knows it’s a message from former foes who haven’t forgotten her. Maggie turns to her local circle of old friends—all retirees from the CIA—to help uncover the truth about who is trying to kill her, and why.

I really enjoyed this story it kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to find out the next thing that is going to happen. A lot of stories don't keep me engrossed like this one. It was the performance that did it for me, the storyline is your atypical horror monster story. But the deliverance of the story was fantastic.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
It's a good cat and mouse game. The 2 characters Charlie and Oliver, got on my last nerves. Oliver is too gullible and weak minded. Charlie is smart but a pain in the behind. Besides those pet peeves I did enjoy this book and would recommend it if you like a good mystery.

Story
It's 1998, and for years the old First Bank of Cleveland has sat abandoned, perfectly preserved, its secrets only speculated on by the outside world. Twenty years before, amid strange staff disappearances and allegations of fraud, panicked investors sold Cleveland's largest bank in the middle of the night, locking out customers and employees and thwarting a looming federal investigation. In the confusion that followed, the keys to the vault's safe-deposit boxes were lost.

Entertaining story but...

Would you consider the audio edition of Third Grave Dead Ahead to be better than the print version?
I've been enjoying these books, but in this one Charley has really gotten under my skin. She's like a 6 year old in an adult body, and that's what is turning me off from this series. If she doesn't get her immaturity together I'm done. Great storyline, writing, and narratives, but silly main character.
Any additional comments?

When a nun is burned alive on the sacred ghats of Varanasi, and the stone she carried is stolen, an international hunt is triggered for the relics of the early church. Forged in the fire and blood of martyrs, the Pentecost stones have been handed down through generations of Keepers who kept their power and locations secret. Until now.
