About this listen

In Buck Lake, Colorado, the resident dog catcher, Collins, is on the verge of retirement. But something strange lurks in the woods, about to ruin his plans....

After 30 years, Collins is ready to be done with small-town animal control. His replacement, Blair, is a Gen Z vet student who hates mansplaining; they don’t get along. But on the eve of his retirement, Collins gets a call that changes everything.

There’s been a report of a vicious wild dog on the loose. Collins and Blair head to a remote family farm to check it out. But instead of finding one wayward mutt, they’re attacked by an entire pack of bloodthirsty creatures. Are they animals? Aliens? Or something more sinister?

Collins and Blair have never seen eye to eye, but they’ll have to learn to work together if they want to survive the night. The future of Buck Lake depends on it.

Catchers is a small-town horror tale with all the charm of a classic ‘80s creature-feature, updated for the modern era. Billy Gardell (Bob Hearts Abishola) stars as Collins alongside Herizen Guardiola (American Gods) as Blair.

With hair-raising twists and a diverse cast of characters, Catchers has something to send shivers down every horror lover’s spine.

The show is fantastic! Scary, funny, and if this is any indication of the original programming coming to Audible, I think I’ll be keeping my subscription for A WHILE.

Highly entertaining!

A terrifyingly terrific story and a frightfully fabulous listen!

This Original has left me wanting more! I desperately hope that there’s a sequel. I’d pay good money for that ear candy.

The voice actors were very believable and every emote was on point. The writing excellent, with no added filler-fluff. A horror story (about monsters of all things), with a plot that’s not only plausible, but probable.

Waiting with baited breath, for the next exemplary Audible Original.

Weirdos in this review section.

Feels like there's a lot of weirdos in these reviews who see "woakness" every corner they turn lol. Calm down guys, Just go back and watch your favorite YouTuber that you have a pair of social relationship with it will all be ok.🤣

Anyways, the story was an overall 4 out of 5 and the performance was a 5 out of 5. There were some parts that were a little hammy near the end with the agent interviewing the main character. But other than that it was a fun ride, and an easy recommendation to listen to on a drive or when you're working on a project.

Intriguing but...

It was an interesting tale, and the narration was rather nice/interesting but there were parts especially concerning the creatures that kept just making me want to shrug. I didn't ever really feel like you get a full grasp of what is going on or what the heck the creatures are if at all. I mean it has some potential and I was able to finish it but everything you find out feels useless to know and doesn't matter within seconds.
