Story
When one of her college boyfriends ended up becoming a movie star, Anna David became fixated on finding another famous boyfriend. But jobs at celebrity magazines and intimate encounters with boldfaced names ultimately left her clear that no red carpet embrace or award show acknowledgment would bring her what she was ultimately seeking.

Narrated by the author, this book gives insight into another world unimaginable, yet remarkably very similar to stories of everyday people in relationships, just wanting to be seen.

Story
If you’re struggling to stay on top of your to-do list, you probably have a good reason: anxiety, fatigue, depression, ADHD, or lack of support. For therapist KC Davis, the birth of her second child triggered a stress-mess cycle. The more behind she felt, the less motivated she was to start. She didn’t fold a single piece of laundry for seven months. One life-changing realization restored her sanity—and the functionality of her home: You don’t work for your home; your home works for you.

Very helpful information from someone with a brain like mine. This was very informative and educational. Things I have yet to put into play were advised. I listen/read self help books regularly and this was one of the more useful ones. Something I can put into effect today without messing up my brain or daily routines. Loved her reading the book! Great voice to listen to. Highly recommend to adhd moms and dads. Grown children with adhd will learn from this book as well.

Story
For half a century, we have been trained to believe that our right brain hemisphere is our emotional brain, while our left brain houses our rational thinking. Now neuroscience shows that it's not that simple: In fact, our emotional limbic tissue is evenly divided between our two hemispheres. Consequently, each hemisphere has both an emotional brain and a thinking brain. In this groundbreaking new book, Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor presents these four distinct modules of cells as four characters that make up who we are.

What a wonderful book to help people understand the four different characters in our head! Things make so much more sense to me now. Great read if you are into self discovery and learning about your four different personalities, and know you are not crazy for saying that.
