Story
They entered the old prison. Summer had just started. It was an abandoned prison and just the two of them. Kylie and Destiny. “I don’t know why we have to do this,” Destiny grumbled. It wasn’t the highlight of her day. “I want to see what it looks like on the inside.” Kylie whined. Kylie was for adventure, and Destiny was not.

This is not the “scary stories” I thought

The memorable Scary Stories from my youth, and associated with the new movie that just came out, is called Scary Stories Audio Collection with a cover of recognizable artwork. These stories are not interesting and I strongly disliked the narration.

Highly recommended as a piece of science fiction. Intelligent use of language, compelling story. Creative exploration of biology, sociology and of course astronomy.

Decided to give this book a try, though mostly I like Jason Bourne / Tom Clancy type books. Really a fun story.

After listening to Crucible, I guess expected more than I should have. This version is a different author and it is a movie novelization-a few more details than what you would see on screen but essentially the same.

The first few chapters are very interesting, but once the author shifts from physics and cosmology into biology and psychology watch out. Incredibly week arguments and examples leading to broad sweeping conclusions. If only the life sciences were treated with the same rigor as with physics, the book would not be a let down.

Rather enjoyable, fast paced book. As much story as many longer novels, but not drawn out. Futuristic and imaginative. And a very interesting prologue to conclude. Narrator spoke a bit fast, and repeated a number of lines, but a good choice other than that.

narrator did a great job. I feel personally the amount of singing in the book was slightly annoying hence the 4* but otherwise enjoyed it.
the perfect detail given helps to paint the most accurate pictures in my mind giving it a feeling to complete realty in such a fictional tale.
