Story
When Great Britain has an unexpected General Election, political journalist Jenna Edwards is excited to go on the campaign trail. That is until she’s assigned to cover the Green Party and their attempt to win more than one paltry seat in Parliament. Disappointed, Jenna resigns herself to weeks of reporting on tree-hugging, plant-based diets, and renewable energies. The only bright spot? Well, that would be the hot brunette she seems to irritate with her very existence.

Story
Guide dog trainer Lenae McIntyre left the high-speed world of television news writing behind, and now she helps other visually impaired people adjust to life with their canine companions. She teaches her students and their dogs to trust each other, but a past betrayal and the determination to be self-sufficient and independent keep her from trusting her heart to see love. Cara Bradley compensates for her family's shallow celebrity lifestyle by devoting her life to helping others, while keeping to the background.

Ros McClure knows that she's well-qualified and deserves the promotion the university has promised. But she didn't expect that the good ol' boys network would be standing in her way. I enjoyed the approach: a generally gentle but determined interaction between characters. It was warm without being aggresivly sexual.

Logic and romance
Reviewed: 07-04-24
It was a very romantic story without overwhelming sweetness. Logic played a role in the course of the romance as opposed to total immersion in dramatics. I have added it to my favorites. Oh, and I do not get tired of Abby Craden’s performances.

Just as shocking was Jules's realization that she was falling hard for Vivian . . . and that the feeling was mutual.

Overall, it was a great book with my favorite reader. I enjoyed the 2 main characters, both the good and the character flaws. The ancillary characters were supportive of the character and story development. It was a
excellent “long” story and not at all boring to me. I just wish there was more with a Jules baby on Thea along with one or two pets. Vivian might have a stroke.
