About this listen

What happens in the elevator doesn’t stay in the elevator.

When Laura Finch’s business partner hires Skylar to bring their company to the next generation, Laura sees red. An obnoxious millennial isn’t someone she wants to work with—they’re known for failing their side hustles. Since Laura gave up everything for Solace Inc to succeed, including her dreams of marriage and family, she’s not willing to risk it on just anyone.

Skylar Ross vies to succeed in her first big contract and won’t let Laura’s sour personality get in her way. Each day she finds something else intriguing about Laura and all the fronts she puts up. With a dash of humor and hope, Skylar bets on her sunny disposition winning Laura over. What she doesn’t expect is her growing crush on a straight woman to go anywhere.

Dreams are meant to be scary. What will they risk to make theirs come true?

Don't Quit Your Daydream is an age gap, lesbian romance that deals with infertility and grief that comes with the loss of dreams. Be prepared for the ride up to the sixth floor, where all the magic happens.

Great story, excellent performance…

It’s intense. Skylar is instantly charming. Laura takes a bit; her world is revealed gradually. But as I got to “know” her and I came to admire her and appreciate her and “watch” her transformation. Last, definitely not least, Lori Prince delivers brilliantly.

Seemed Long

The story seemed long. I doubt I will listen a second time.
Narration was good. I felt the main character was portrayed to be too
Negative. It was just ok.

I loved it. I finished it. Looking forward to listening again.

Good development with early mention of a mystery. I liked the interactions and the development of imperfect romance.

The true deep love between 2 women!!

I dislike the damage men do in a marriage and beyond!! They are not held acountable for anything!!

A Great Romance

This is a great romance enhanced by Lori Prince's narration. I love the ice queen and age gap romance tropes and this was one of the best I've read. The romance is slow in coming, but I believe is realistic. They each have a bit of baggage to overcome so it was nice to see their happily ever after in the end.

Really good slow burn, but didn't really like end

This was a really good ice queen age gap romance. I really liked both main characters. I loved how they interacted. I didn't always expect what happened, but it always made sense (sometimes after a little while and not immediately). They are both complicated characters with some baggage. I listened to the audiobook. That makes it hard to judge the writing, but I didn't hear any mistakes. The narrator was very good, but at times I didn't always know who was speaking. Laura and Rodney often sounded similar. I really felt for Laura and how she's been treated. But she seemed to have a backbone so I wasn't sure why she put up with so much for so long. I appreciate that Laura wanted children and applaud her decision to not have them while single. But I wasn't sure she wanted children for the right reason. Did she want them for herself or for the children themselves? Another reviewer pointed out that the firm didn't act like an actuarial firm. I wondered about that. It seemed more like a typical accounting firm. The buildup of the romance was very slow, which I really appreciated, but the end felt rushed and time passed in a blink. I didn't like the plot aspect at the end. I understand it, but just don't like it.

I loved this book

If you’re looking for sexy time, it’s limited here but good when it “comes.”
This is all about a good storyline and character development. I enjoyed every moment of this listen.
