Story
The Winter Queen of Faerie has manipulated Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden into accepting a case to solve a murder and stop a war between the courts of Summer and Winter that could have literally earth shattering consequences. His own soul is up for grabs. Dresden must dig deep to discover that at time a willingness to accept a little help from your friends, be they a cub pack of werewolves, old loves in sheep's clothing, or a battalion of pizza loving dewdrop fairies, is a very good thing.

Awesome!!

I gave a bad review of the audio of books 1-3 because the narrator uses a library voice and whispers too much. In this book he uses a lot more volume and it is much easier to follow along and get into the story. This is one of my favorite book series so I am thrilled the audio is better now!!

Story
Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden has had a rough couple of weeks. As the only openly practicing professional wizard in the Chicago area, he has squared off against a multitude of supernatural bad guys. Harry has won the day against demons, poltergeists, sorcerers, trolls, vampires, werewolves, and even an evil faerie godmother. You might think nothing could spook him. You would be wrong.

Audio Not Good
Reviewed: 10-25-16
The books and stories are one of my favorite series. The audio is VERY hard for my to listen to. The reader uses a very quiet voice that's almost a whisper. I was hoping it was only like that on the first book, then the second but now that I am listening the third I'm worried it is not going to end. I totally get using a quiet voice or a whisper during an intense part of the book but this guy whispers the entire story. When the characters yell he uses a normal voice instead of a whisper. It's VERY annoying because it takes away from the stories and it is very hard to focus on the story. I'm constantly having to skip back to re listen. This is my third time reading this series and my first time listening to the books on audio.
