Language
Reviewed: 11-11-16
For those concerned about language: As a Christian listener/reader, I strive to avoid books that contain offensive language. This particular novel uses God accompanied with damn twice by chapter 5. The first is chapter 4 (thought maybe I misheard) then again chapter 5. I have not listened to many of Dekker's novels so don't know if this is the norm? The couple I have listened to, language was not an issue.

Amazing!!

What insight into human emotions/struggles and a beautiful portrayal of God's love for us. Often times people can be so judgmental/critical of others, especially when they do not hold the same values, not taking the time to understand their path has often been vastly different than our own. Things we may not understand or fathom, may be all they've ever known. An amazing story!!! Loved it!

Story
Charlotte Graham is at the center of the most famous kidnapping in Chicago history. The FBI and local cops found her two abductors, killed them, and rescued her, but it took four long years. The fact that she was found just three miles from her home, had been there the entire time, haunts them. She’s since changed her identity, found a profession she loves, and rebuilt her life. She’s never said a word — to the cops, to her doctors, to her family — about those four years.

Too many details on coins and money!
Reviewed: 04-29-15
Drawn out. I enjoyed the plot but the the details of coins and money wore me out!! The narrator took some getting use to. I had difficulty listening to him. I started the preface over about 3 times, almost decided not to listen. Finally decided I paid for it, I'd stick it out. It was boring at times getting through some of it.
