Story
There are few moments in American history in which the course of events tipped so suddenly and so dramatically as at the Battle of Midway. At dawn of June 4, 1942, a rampaging Japanese navy ruled the Pacific. By sunset, their vaunted carrier force (the Kido Butai) had been sunk and their grip on the Pacific had been loosened forever. In this absolutely riveting account of a key moment in the history of World War II, one of America's leading naval historians, Craig L. Symonds, paints an unforgettable portrait of ingenuity, courage, and sacrifice.

This incredible story shows how John Douglas tracked and participated in the hunt for one of the most notorious serial killers in US history. Not my favorite
Reviewed: 01-20-22
I have listened to several of John Douglas's books and this one is the least enjoyable by far. The narration is terrible. The narrator cannot pronounce basic names such as "Quantico". Audio quality sounds as if it was recorded in a coffee shop and the narrator is very monotone throughout the book. I loved "Mindhunter" and "The Killer Across the Table" but the narration ruined this book for me.
