It’s all-out war for ruthless red state special operator Kelly Turnbull when he returns in this blockbuster prequel to “People’s Republic,” Kurt Schlichter’s top selling novel of America after the polarized politics of blue versus red have split our country apart. “Indian Country” finds Turnbull sent back into the blue states to help those trapped inside resist a politically correct police state. As the progressive government ratchets up the violence, Turnbull must mold regular Americans into a fighting force capable of resisting the People’s Republic Army, led by his former...

There were no females in high positions. There were no gays or non-binaries anywhere in the story. So this story is cis-normative phallocentric trans-cidal hate speech. The least the author could arrange is for a gorgeous female Chinese pilot and an American boy to crash on the same remote island and continue war by other means (marriage).
Also, war stories need directed energy weapons.
The story ends e with China importing a large amount of money. Would President Trump impose a tariff?

Thanks, Kurt, for a great story. Your descriptions of life in California are very very close to reality. (That is why I now have left had live in Nevada.) I have actually met some of the characters you mentioned in the story. As I was once active in democratic politics there. However, although I am from California, I am married to an actual woman.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. It is certain that there is life elsewhere in the universe; some les advanced than us, some more advanced, and some at about our level. But conversation over a distance of 666 light years is mighty slow.
Missing evidence? A live alien prisoner or a defector who has fallen in love with an earth woman (a common theme in Greek and other mythologies). A lab report on recovered non-human objects or materials. A clear photo.
Conspiracy? Yeah plenty of evidence of that. It must be true. I saw it on the internet, in a report from Rine Institute and a book by George Adamski.
Bottom line: author is clearly possessed by intergalactic alien demons!

Story
From the time of Ancient Sumeria, the heavy infantry phalanx dominated the battlefield. Armed with spears or pikes, standing shoulder to shoulder with shields interlocking, the men of the phalanx presented an impenetrable wall of wood and metal to the enemy. Until, that is, the Roman legion emerged to challenge them as masters of infantry battle.

Weaknesses Not Explored
Reviewed: 10-04-24
Weaknesses of the Legion military structure were not explored. This work was an excellent demonstration of the Legion's superiority over the Phalanx and the roots of the two structures in the differing social structures of Rome and Greece, but eventually the Legion failed. The Legion failed when swarms of horse mounted archers arrived from central Asia: first the early Persians, then the Huns, the Mongolians, and finally the Turks, who reduced the Roman state to three cities and finally and made it their own. The Turks brought an important game changing technology to warfare: firearms. Although author Myke Cole talks about the importance of attack by missiles such as javelin, sling bullets, and arrows, but he could have had a final chapter on the arrival of firearms.

We Must Stick Together
Reviewed: 10-04-24
The main idea behind this story is that as individuals we are powerless, but when we stick together, help each other, make use of different skill sets, and get enough sex from eager women, anything is possible... even survival through the coming war and dictatorship. Author could show a little deeper understanding of Islam. What part of One God,, creator of all (including women) does he disagree with? But I'm on my way to the gun store tomorrow to get an AR. I want it with a suppressor and a bipod; I already have a bayonet on my present rifle, which I use for bunny hunting. Gives me and the rabbits good aerobic exercise, and nobody gets hurt. I never had much luck with Amfo as an explosive for IED use. I have a much more powerful formula, easily made from stuff you can get at home depot. However, you need a blasting cap to initiate it. I have begun prepping, but do not yet have an underground bunker.
The author seems to be obsessed with women and sex. I consider that a sign of good mental health. But the women are all so willing, that is unrealistic. Women will bargain carefully getting the best deal from the best possible partner before closing the deal. Like a certain profession that is perfectly legal here in Nevada.
With current tensions in the middle east (as of October, 2024), I think we are closer to a TEOTWAWKI event than most people realize. This book has lots of great ideas on how you can prepare. But author A.J. Newman emphasizes that the most important thing is to be a member of a group of folks that you trust. As a loner you prospects are much worse.
Will you be ready when the Shahn has the fit?

Story
By 1929, Amelia Earhart was famous for her groundbreaking flight across the Atlantic, with pilot Bill Stultz and mechanic Slim Gordon. Now, she seemed to be living the perfect life: she was a rich and famous celebrity and could fly whenever she liked. But all that attention made her uncomfortable. After all, Amelia wasn’t the pilot of her transatlantic flight. So she decided to make herself into the aviator she always wanted to be. Only another death-defying adventure would prove to Amelia – and to the world – that she finally had earned her wings.

Ridiculous!
Reviewed: 07-15-24
When doing stories about aviation, a licensed pilot is preferred as an author. The drama depicted in this story about Amelia Earhart is merely the imagination of one who has never piloted aircraft and has no knowledge of aircraft operation, weather impact on flight, radio technology, or navigation. At the very least, the author could have realized his own shortcomings, and attempted to educate himself by consultation with one who is knowledgeable, or even get some flight instruction. It’s not that difficult.
