Like having your mates round for a cuppa
Reviewed: 10-26-23
I’m a Brit living in America so I only discovered ladbaby fairly recently but I love them so much! When I’m feeling homesick it’s like having your mates right there. Their relationship is genuinely hilarious and they bounce off each other so well. I hope you guys are around for a very long time.

I hate him! I hate him! I hate him! He’s a bully, he’s controlling and he’s arrogant. I loved the other books but this one has made me want to scream out loud on multiple occasions. He’s not a hero he’s an a$$ and I found myself wishing Penelope would change her mind about being in love with him. It’s mentioned in the book where she realises he’s not the man she thought he was but then she’s agreeing to marry him anyway?!? If you don’t like arrogant controlling a$$es then give this one a miss.

Story
It's been over a decade since Nora left her hometown of Scupper Island, Maine, and very seldom looked back. She's carved out a successful life in Boston, where no one knows her as the awkward girl with the delinquent sister and the dad who left, but a not-as-dramatic-as-it-sounds brush with death has her taking stock of her life. Inspired to reconnect with her prickly mother and snarky teenage niece, Nora returns home for the summer, where she's forced to face the people she's spent the last ten years trying to avoid.

SA trigger warning!!!!!!
Reviewed: 03-28-23
I love this author, I’ve listened to several of her books but I am so fed up of listening to books with sexual assault or rape in them. These books need trigger warnings for those of us who are survivors.

Story
Hotel magnate Brent Albright is poised to marry a woman he’s not totally wild about purely for business reasons. His betrothed, busy wedding planner Jackie Webb, has an equally impersonal agenda. Hope Webb has spent her entire life getting her twin sister Jackie out of fixes, and now Jackie’s in the biggest fix of all. She can’t eke out enough time to attend her own pre-wedding parties in beautiful Blue Hill, Maine. What starts out as a favor to impersonate the bride-to-be for one event turns into an all-week affair....

Couldn’t get past the first chapter

The narrator is awful. I wish I could say I finished this book but the poor narration made give up before the end of the first chapter.

Story
My cheating ex has me swearing off men. Until Lewis comes along, stealing my breath and my good sense. I've never been one to lust after guys. But Lewis is six-and-a-half feet of rugged man, and he's...eye-catching. Sexy. And silently brooding in all the best ways. The more time I spend with him, the naughtier my thoughts are of us together, and he's not helping put a stop to it.

Warning sexual assault
Reviewed: 01-23-23
This book should come with a warning. It’s horrendous. The female lead character is weak and pathetic and the sexual assault storyline needs a warning before people listen. This book makes me so angry and I will now be deleting this other authors books from my library.
