Story
It’s 1857, and anxious debutante Beth has just one season to snag a wealthy husband, or she and her mother will be out on the street. But playing the blushing ingenue makes Beth’s skin crawl and she’d rather be anywhere but here. Gwen, on the other hand, is on her fourth season and counting, with absolutely no intention of finding a husband, possibly ever. She figures she has plenty of security as the only daughter of a rakish earl, from whom she’s gotten all her flair, fun, and less-than-proper party games.

WLW Historical Romance
Reviewed: 09-15-24
I enjoyed the story and I loved that the mom had character growth. I just felt the two main characters were kind of stagnant in their character growth. I loved that it was a queer historical romance and overall it was a good story but sometimes it felt slow and a bit whiny. If your looking for 🌶️ I would rate it a 2/5.

Therapy is important
Reviewed: 04-04-23
This wasn’t my favorite of the series BUT I love how therapy, counseling and medications are so normalized in this world! It is so important to me that as fantastical as the story is these are the parts that make it feel real! That doesn’t turn this story into another smut filled fictional world like ACOTR. There are a lot of great sex, or sexual overtones but the story still has depth and development! (I’m still on the fence with Richard and Asher BUT thank you for making the arch so real and not just bamb personality change)
