Good but distracted.

While I enjoyed a crime thriller with Maine roots, the narrator had me very distracted. This narrator felt as if they are reading a historical documentary or self help book not an intense crime play by play.

I do not dish out 15 stars lightly. While I wasn't particularly interested in the teacher relationship aspect, I loved the psych thriller twists and sprinkled details of intrigued. I was wrong about the ending of multiple characters, which made it even better!

Story
On an unseasonably hot October morning, Bowditch is called to the scene of a bizarre crime: the corpses of seven moose have been found senselessly butchered on the estate of Elizabeth Morse, a wealthy animal rights activist who is buying up huge parcels of timberland to create a new national park. What at first seems like mindless slaughter—retribution by locals for the job losses Morse's plan is already causing in the region—becomes far more sinister when a shocking murder is discovered.

Story
John Gierach is known for his witty, trenchant observations about fly-fishing. In A Fly Rod of Your Own, Gierach once again takes us into his world and scrutinizes the art of fly-fishing. He travels to remote fishing locations where the airport is not much bigger than a garage and a flight might be held up because a passenger is running late. He sings the praises of the skilled pilots who fly to remote fishing lodges in tricky locations and bad weather.

I'm not sure what it is about this book but it was definitely my #1 of the last couple years. Its not overly memorable but has a way of letting you feel like your next to the author through his experiences. Its comforting, relaxing, exciting, humurous, realistic and authentic. A fantasticand MUST read/listen for any fisherman!! For the beginner to the experienced this will hook you and drag you in! Also Tom Rosenbauer did a podcast with the author which is available on orvis.com.

Story
For eight years, Sheriff David Reichert devoted days and nights to capturing the Green River Killer - the most notorious serial killer in American history. He was the first detective on the case in 1982 and doggedly pursued it as the body count climbed to 49 and it became the most infamous unsolved case in the nation. Frantically following all leads, even as more bodies surfaced near the river outside Seattle, Sheriff Reichert befriended the victims' families, publicly challenged the killer, and risked his own safety - and the endurance and love of his family - before he found his madman.

Awesome ... no that word is not good enough, incredible.
Being able to feel his emotions on working the case and the need to find justice regardless of the time frame was fanminal to read.
The clips of interviews he was a part of is a hardcore bonus.
My only wish is that Reichert was also the narrator.

Would you recommend The Legend of Sleepy Hollow to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes/No
I love the story. Always have.
But I think that hollywood has skewed my perspective on the book, or maybe I didn't completly enjoy the narrator. Because I was not held attentive. I wanted more. I felt it needed more ... something.

Maybe,
I'm not swayed on the author. The idea had potential, I just wasen't hooked into the book like I waned to be. Kind of bland.
Didn't love the book but I didn't hate it either.
What three words best describe Nick Sullivan’s performance?
Attentive.
Passionate.
Attractive.
Any additional comments?
If the entire book was like the last thirty minutes, my review would be totally different.
The end of the book grasped my attention and was surprised and happy with the story.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. Very Funny.
Some facts/stories are a bit daunting, meaning so many people (myself included) prefer ignorance to the scary facts of life. But overall the book is laugh out loud funny and dare I say: informative!
You didn't know untill now that you wanted to know the 'Five Fun Things That Will Kill You'
The writers at cracked.com did not disappoint!
What was one of the most memorable moments of You Might Be a Zombie and Other Bad News?
"Terrifying Truths on Child Birth"
Sometimes the term 'meat balloon' is the best description you can have when someone is bringing life into the world.
Absolutely hillarious!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laugh. No doubt made me laugh.
There were a couple snippet like stories on politics that I'd consider a yawn. But, when you jump right into another factoid, or 'bet you didn't know' you completly forget about the little hiccup.
Any additional comments?
