Story
A balanced account of game changes, conflicts and ambitions. The fall from popular grace of the previously adulated brother of the heir to the British throne as a consequence of his marriage to a beautiful and dynamic Hollywood starlet of colour makes for fascinating listening in best-selling royal author Lady Colin Campbell's balanced account. Lady Colin knows her royal history and psychology, and as the first seven years of her adult life were spent in the USA, she has a foot in both the American and British camps.

Wow, this is a brilliant piece of propaganda. I love how the author starts off with attempting to be “objective” and then just goes off on a personal attack against Meghan. I can’t help but wonder how much money the “Lady” got paid for writing this book. I can’t believe this type of dribble still exists. So sad.

Story
Daniel Graham MacCormick - Mac for short - seems to have a pretty good life. At age 35 he's living in Key West, owner of a 42-foot charter fishing boat, The Maine. Mac served five years in the army as an infantry officer, with two tours in Afghanistan. He returned with the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, scars that don't tan, and a boat with a big bank loan. Truth be told, Mac's finances are more than a little shaky. One day Mac is sitting in the famous Green Parrot Bar in Key West, contemplating his life....

Disappointing
Reviewed: 09-23-17
Would you try another book from Nelson DeMille and/or Scott Brick?
As everyone says, Scott Brick nails the narration, but I just couldn't get into the story as it was too drawn out and I kept wanting to get to the action. Im a huge Nelson D. fan and have listened to over 10 of his books, but this one just didn't hold my attention. Also, the fact that the main character "Mac" spent so much time contemplating "the offer" that was made to him was unrealistic, any other person would have taken it in second. Again, very disappointing.
Would you ever listen to anything by Nelson DeMille again?
John Corey!
What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?
Yes, always excellent!
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Cuban Affair?
The contemplation of the $2M offer. Come on, who wouldnt take that and it wasnt like he was transporting drugs
Any additional comments?
Too drawn out........not enought meat in the premise of the story to justify an entire book.

The storyline was decent, but I couldn't get past how effeminate the narrators voice was for such powerful characters. It just didn't make for a good listen.
