Story
In Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker, novelist Jennifer Chiaverini presents a stunning account of the friendship that blossomed between Mary Todd Lincoln and her seamstress, Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Keckley, a former slave who gained her professional reputation in Washington, D.C. by outfitting the city’s elite. Keckley made history by sewing for First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln within the White House, a trusted witness to many private moments between the President and his wife, two of the most compelling figures in American history.

I can’t get through it! The massive profanity is not necessary- and it’s too bad Audible doesn’t have details like IMDB to warn a listener! Blah!

Story
It's June in Montreal, and Dr. Temperance Brennan, who has left a shaky marriage back home in North Carolina to take on the challenging assignment of Director of Forensic Anthropology for the province of Quebec, looks forward to a relaxing weekend in beautiful Quebec City. First, though, she must stop at a newly uncovered burial site in the heart of the city. The remains are probably old and only of archeological interest, but Tempe must make sure they're not a case for the police. One look at the decomposed and decapitated corpse, stored neatly in plastic bags, tells her she'll spend the weekend in the crime lab.

Enjoyed this 26 year old book- interesting to think about how these murders were solved before everyone had a smart phone in their hands and the internet was in its infancy. Good story- character so different than the TV show Bones, but still good.
Good narration.

Good story, worst narrator

After so many audible listens, this was the first I had to cringe my way through. The narrator’s male voices made many of them sound like they had speech impediments or were mentally challenged. I don’t mean that disrespectfully to people who do have those challenges- but just when I was trying to understand what the issue was with the character, I realized it was the narrator, not the characteristics of the character. If I liked the book a little less, I would have returned it. So so hard to get through. Ms. Kingsbury, please have this book re-recorded. I think folks who want to remember 9/11 would listen to this series- but have to stop short due to this reading.

Story
The New York Times best-selling memoir that inspired the film October Sky, Rocket Boys is a uniquely American memoir - a powerful, luminous story of coming of age at the dawn of the 1960s, of a mother's love and a father's fears, of a group of young men who dreamed of launching rockets into outer space... and who made those dreams come true. Nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award, Homer Hickam's lush, lyrical memoir is a marvelously entertaining chronicle of triumph.

All of us long to know what life after death will be like. Best-selling author John Burke is no exception. In Imagine Heaven, Burke compares over 100 gripping stories of near-death experiences (NDEs) to what Scripture says about our biggest questions of heaven: Will I be myself? Will I see friends and loved ones? What will heaven look like? What is God like? What will we do forever? What about children and pets?
