I found the information and research on more peaceful cultures interesting and they didn't write down a couple of things from this book. For the most part though I felt like this was telling me how as an American I've already screwed up in my parenting. I was looking for more examples of how to be more mindful parent rather than how I have not been one.

I didn't finish this book. I don't think it was right for me at this time. I didn't find the tips practical. The way the author wrote about other religions didn't sit well with me either.

Little Men takes place where little women left off. It tells the story of Jo and her professor and the adventures of the children at Plum field. As in little women I love how there's always stories within stories. The characters are also well-developed that you can't help falling in love with them.

Fun mystery set in a book store, not too easy to solve, and it was a quick read. I didn't care for the narrators female voice portrayal though - it was pretty bad and some of the romantic lines were cheesy. But the mystery parts of the book were good.

I'm a big Jen Hatmaker fan and Of Mess and Moxie did not disappoint. I LOVED the audio version. Jen adds in little side notes for the listener. It's great. I laughed out loud many times. And even read some of the passages out loud (I have the hard back copy as well) to my husband and he loved it too.

The way Tsh writes I truly felt that either I was with their family on their year long journey around the world or she was a dear friend telling me about their travels. The stories in At Home in the World have stayed with me and have created a warm glow in my soul.

Enjoyable Look into the Danish Culture

I enjoyed learning more about the Danish culture especially from an outsiders point of view. I was losing a little interest by the middle of the book and a little disillusioned by the lifestyle of the Danes. I really wanted to find out if the couple decided to live a second year Danishly so I stuck it out to the end. I love the style the book was written in. I was laughing out loud at times. And the narrator was fantastic. I enjoyed The Year of Living Danishly.

I love not only how well the main story is written but that she also writes such lovely stories and poems from the PC and Jo. Stories within the story.
