Story
Mona and Duncan used to be best friends. Now they can’t stand each other. Too bad that’s not a good enough excuse to miss their two families’ annual trip to the cabin. But things get really complicated when they accidentally drive through a wormhole together on the way. Look what playing nice and carpooling gets you. Now they’re stranded indoors by an epic storm and stuck in an alternate timeline where things are just slightly ... off.

Story
Every girl dreams of the perfect proposal. And my boss thought it would be a ‘media moment’ if I proposed to my boyfriend, Rex, live on national TV. With everyone watching. Rex said no. Now I’m a social media sensation for all the wrong reasons and hiding out in Hawaii. But because the universe apparently hates me, so is Rex... with his supermodel new girlfriend! To avoid total humiliation I need to find my own irresistible date. And the gorgeous surfer who looks like he’s walked straight from the ocean and into my fantasies is the perfect solution.

Winner of the Whitbread Prize for best first fiction. Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit is a coming-out novel from Winterson, the acclaimed author of The Passion and Sexing the Cherry. The narrator, Jeanette, cuts her teeth on the knowledge that she is one of God’s elect, but as this budding evangelical comes of age and comes to terms with her preference for her own sex, the peculiar balance of her God-fearing household crumbles.

They say a soul mate only comes along once. I believe it, too. I had my chance, but it slipped away. Each day a little more of myself dies, but I pretend I’m fine. That is until I see him - the man who makes me feel alive - Garrick Shaw. Something within me changes. It’s unavoidable and unlike anything I’ve ever known. And it scares me, terrifies me. But there’s another danger lurking around the corner. Someone is conspiring to take it all away. Who are they? What do they want? Why are they after me?

Not much depth in plot. FMC is pathetic and whiny. MMC is domineering.
Just too cheesy dialogue. Narrator sounds like she is going to explode into a nervous breakdown. Cannot imagine another Book to follow. I'll give it a miss.

The Bookworm Box is proud to present Two More Days, our second anthology installment. Much like the first installment, Two More Days is an exciting and unique listening experience with contributions from several of our charity's featured authors. Each author was given the same first sentence. Where they took that sentence was completely up to them.

Audible? Really? This should not be included as reading material.
Should have known when the first story includes porn reference and blasphemy after 8 seconds into the story. Tried to listen to others but all the same. Don't waste your time.

Jammer tog daaroor.

Listened to all 5 books prior to this one and really enjoyed all. Book 6 is interesting story with suspense and well-developed characters as previous books. However, Ashcroft saga extended over three books is too much. Resulted in unrealistic scenes. But, I'm on to next Jackman experience!
