About this listen

The Bookworm Box is proud to present Two More Days, our second anthology installment. Much like the first installment, Two More Days is an exciting and unique listening experience with contributions from several of our charity's featured authors. Each author was given the same first sentence. Where they took that sentence was completely up to them.

Every story is different. No story is related.

The only thing these stories have in common is their starting point. Each author showcased in this anthology was featured in The Bookworm Box in 2020.

Contributing authors: Alessandra Torre, Chanda Hahn, Charleigh Rose, Dominique Laura, Eric R. Asher, Ilsa Madden-Mills, Jennifer Wilson, Jessica Hawkins, Jewel E. Ann, K. Amazing

Absolutely loved this book. Kept me interested the entire time. Even throughout all the stories I was amazed.

Some good - Some not.

I loved some of the stories, some end early and you have to get the book of that story for more. So it’s a bit like a tease in that way. If you like shorts, this is a fun one for that. Just not for me.

Pretty good.

I did fast forward a few of the stories. I’m not into supernatural. There were a few stories I wanted to hear more. Worth listening to though.

Total waste of time!

Not every story is very explicit. Many stories were boring. I don't remember even " buying" this & all of the sudden it was on my list.

The ups and downs…

There are a lot of stories that are similar and hard to follow because I kept getting distracted, which I don’t usually do with a good book. BUT…there are some stories that were really good, so I suppose it balances out.

Great way to find new Authors!!

As someone who loves finding new Authors and books to read this is a great way to do that! I will be continuing to listen to multiple of these books as I wanted to keep listening and wanting to know what would happen after the short stories would finish. If I didn’t like how the book was going I would just skip to the next short story and was always interested in all the different stories and plots. I don’t think some people know that this book is a collaboration of all different authors not just Colleen lol

unique stories? as if!

My 1st admission is I went into this completely blind, I had no idea what to expect from this anthology except that every story had the same 1st line and each author had their own creative way with it.

Let me take a step back and praface with I'm usually not into romance, it makes my eyes roll out of my head. sometimes I'm surprised and a romance gets me but usually? um no

Ok, so my 2nd admission is that I skipped through 3 stories, maybe 4? because out of 30 stories at least 75% of them were about the same exact thing... "I love my best friend but I'm afraid to tell them or they're about to get married" blah blah blah. There was a point I almost DNF the entire thing and rating it a 2 because it was so excessive.

Now the good news... there are some genuinely good short stories here. Yes, they may be the minority but they carry the anthology out of the "I just wasted 20 hours of me life" zone. And I'll admit, there were a select few romances that played out really well and Colleen Hoover really pulled it out in the end, Solid finish, Colleen.

Pros and cons

Some of the stories were great. Others I had to skip. There’s a lot of sexual deviance throughout the book. A LOT. The narrators were mostly good. I had a hard time listening to the young narrator who was sometimes choppy in her delivery. And it was just hard to hear what sounded like a young voice, narrating sex scenes. I didn’t love the hypernasal narrator either. But there were some really sweet stories if you could get past all the sex scenes. :)

This was only okay…

Some stories were really good and some were really…not. Some stories just seemed to cut off quickly like they didn’t know how to end it and didn’t wrap up the story.

It’s hard to keep all the characters straight.

It’s hard to keep all the characters straight. Way too many to keep up with for me.
