there's an unbelievable number of corny lines in this book. I literally gagged a few times. please use those lines more sparingly 😅

I truly cannot comprehend why the MC refuses to go home and see his friends and family when he gets the chance. He's so focused on his own feelings that he doesn't even consider whether or not his friends would want to see him again. They have been with him since childhood and supported his dream when no one else did, and yet he doesn't have the decency to commit to seeing them when he gets the chance. Couldn't be me. That's so selfish I can't even comprehend it.

A name generator, because all these similar sounding names are ridiculous. Gunner, Gunther, and Greg. Really? and second, please be sure to describe the features and characteristics of new characters. You've left out hair color, height, things like this and it makes imagining their appearance wishy washy.

he's constantly saying lines that are meant for female characters and it destroys the immersion when I need to stop to think about why one character said something the other should have. way more issues than just that, like saying the wrong word in a sentence. the translator is also making WAY too many mistakes. you can't just Google translate an entire book and expect it to be good. GET AN EDITOR.
The amount of ideas in this series that are wholesale stolen from other works is also alarming. I want to say roughly 50% of the world and character concepts are stolen from anime, movies, and other works without any kudos to where the idea originally came from.

I found myself lost several times, confused about what was happening. author needs to provide more environmental descriptions to set a scene better.
the female narrator should be narrating everything told from a female character's perspective, which doesn't happen. and lastly and most importantly, the male narrator needs to learn how to laugh. I cringed every time he did a laugh because they all sounded so forced and awkward. just try laughing naturally man, please. 🙏

Cyberpunk + Solo Leveling

It's pretty obvious the author either read or is currently watching the Solo Leveling series, and that he has played Cyberpunk 2078 enough to get ideas from it. There's very obvious DND references too. This is a decent story, but if you know where the ideas come from, you can tell there isn't much creativity that went into this. They even stole the Relic idea from Cyberpunk.

Death's 180, while expected, happened with very little in the way of character progression. He made a choice and then instantly changed it without much convincing, and it seemed like a weak plot point. Other than that, this book was amazing.

That's really all that needs to be said in my opinion. The story is pretty good and MC was making personal progress; as a reader we could see the character progression. Then he does this BS, acting just like in book 3 where he showed how much of a trash person he is, but he goes above that here. MIND YOU, the quantity of out of pocket stuff MC does is less, but it shouldn't be happening at the level of a teenager when he's almost 50. It's just pathetic. There are moments to panic, mope, and make poor decisions, but MC does all of those at the wrong time, every time. I just can't read that stuff without getting frustrated and having to step away from the book for a bit.

mc is back to acting like a dumb anime mc who can somehow unlock the secrets of the universe, but can't help but cause emotional distress to the people around him, especially the women who care for him. just stop this bs man. make him less stupid please, it's not appealing in an mc EVER.

older sister is disrespectful as heck during first meeting while Dianna risks her life and fortune to make a deal with Isaac, saves his life, goes through hell with the group, and because she can't CURRENTLY keep up with them, she's tossed to the side. ever heard of training her idiot? you are the head of a freaking sect after all, but MC is too stupid to think of that. nope, as soon as she's spent a fortune on him and been by his side when he almost kills himself, she's tossed to the side and forgotten about. this is like some playboy or gold digger crap where someone gets dropped after they put out or run out of money.
but the sister suddenly does a 180 once Isaac is in power and is a sweetheart now? gtfo here with that bs. why on earth would you do that man? that's just so shallow I can't help but hate the mc and Nikki or however it's spelled. Just crappy decision making as the author dude.
