Story
Mountain man and fur trader Jedediah Smith casts a heroic shadow. He was the first Anglo-American to travel overland to California via the Southwest, and he roamed through more of the West than anyone else of his era. His adventures quickly became the stuff of legend. Using new information and sifting fact from folklore, Barton H. Barbour now offers a fresh look at this dynamic figure.

A great collection of source material, put together to give a glimpse of a famous Pioneer in his wild glory trapping and exploring, to imagine what America was like in the early wild days

More erotic than romantic
Reviewed: 02-05-25
I have listened to at least 5 of Eliza Knight’s novels. This one is nothing like the others. There is no plot. No resolution. Weak character. Poorly executed. Mostly a descriptive sexual textbook. I kept on hoping it would get better , but it didn’t. Don’t let this book be a judge of her other books. She has fantastic storylines and characters in her newer books.

A wonderful finale to JAL”s Pennyroyal romance series. I ve listened to all the ones related to the Eversees v Redmond children. This was by far the best and most anticipated.

reader is horrendous!

UGG!! excruciatingly boring reader. Reader did not interpret characters at all. Read very slowly without inflection. Mostly monotone. Could not get past the first 20 minutes. No matter how good the book may be, I could not get past the reader. Oh Ay! Wish I could get my money back.
