Book is amazing if you can get past the hokey bad title.

The world and characters have an amazing depth and complexity. The MC goes through a lot and makes it through without being a cringy edgelord. He's even offered a cringey edgelord class and refuses it. Everyone here in the reviews that are complaining are ignoring the fact that the class he ends with allows him to create and manipulate his elements. Basically making him a mage of glass. You know, giant glass spears, puppets, basically an earth bender from Avatar.

Sawthes of the audio are missing, for some reason. please fix this. Whoever did the editing also failed to actually balance the audio. Every couple of chapters I have to change my volume to keep the audio comfortable.

Man is this series lazy. Ancient humans with the inability to notice that a special object enters the market when the MC comes to town. A mana who barely understands how easy it actually is to make wire, seriously get it hot then slide it through smaller holes till it's wire. Very difficult. The belief that in a universe with people who won't die of old age after a thousand years that no one could make new inventions. Or that indoor plumbing would be rare. The main character being judgmental of people wielding magic and the strength to lift mountains refusing to smith with power tools. Seriously? The fact that the main character took two very common skills that look very similar in function and merged them as the first person in a multiverse to do so???? This series is lazy to a stupid degree. The first book had it's issues but lots of first books have room for improvement. Somehow the author saw the previous room for improvement and decided to make more.

The list of mistakes in this book is longer than the list of interesting concepts. From the massive typos and confusing descriptions to badly written characters. it feels as if each and every chapter has a mistake to be found if they don't immediately pop to the fore. Then we have the narration while the voice acting isn't bad the mixing is completely unbalanced, the female voice actor is so much quieter than the male that I had a hard time balancing the audio. This was quite disappointing after listing to the paladin series. I also feel like the author didn't take writing a system series very seriously almost like he believed it to be easier than it was.

This book pales in comparison to master class, less story and more horny garbage. it also makes a joke of sex addiction for some reason.

I wanted the main character to die, he's worthless. I can go on for a time about the main character's insane Paranoia, but I won't I will simply state it makes no sense. Instead I will state the world is interesting. The characters around the main character are pretty great.

Finally the narrator doesn't know how to say so many words, genuinely for one. stupid annoying.

This book is beyond confusing. It doesn't help that even the main character is confused the entire time and whining about it. It doesn't help that there 5 interludes in the book setting up storylines you won't even understand until later books. Yet, the thing that really grinds my gears? The thing that pushes me into loathing this series? It isn't the one dimensional characters that have there traits restated every chapter, or the world with perfectly sensible rules that are restated every chapter, it's the fact that the main character barely has to work for anything the entire book.

You know what was an extremely surprising choice. Making this book be narrated this way. Why they decided that most of the skills and classes need to be read in the menu voice is beyond me. It makes it worse that it isn't perfect and some of them slip through. As well as the fact that it can make it extremely hard to follow who is speaking when their voice drops to that level of bass every other word

That was the biggest demerit for me. The story.... is clearly not meant for the publication of an actual book. That's not to say that it is bad. It just means the author didn't have an editor or proof reader to clean up the issues that come from web serialization. The book takes place across about 1 month from what I can tell. There's the first error the author missed. He writes like months or weeks have passed when they haven't. The MC forgets things he learned a week ago because the author forgot. The MC makes friends with characters then forgets about them. The second biggest issue is that the author wants to write what he feels are cunning political machinations. They all end up feeling intensely clumsy however. Like a child could come up with them or could outsmart them even. Politics are never as cunningly wrought as people think, they are stage magic at the grandest scale where your words can be the curtain or sleight of hand. It's hard to write good politics, he did not succeed.

The book isn't bad there is however a rushed feeling to everything that is done.
