Story
Love should withstand anything, but I don't know if it can survive this. We made it out. We survived. But we didn't know then that Dimitri and I did not escape the haunted forest unscathed. He risked his immortal soul to save me, but we've returned different. Inside us spider demons are taking over, and our lives will never be the same. Relationships broken, lives destroyed, and, worst of all, our family will be forced to kill us if we can't get rid of the demons. We'll do anything to make this right, even make a deal with a tricky djinn.

I have no patience for Tatiana
Reviewed: 09-03-24
The stories are good. Due to the character Tatiana constantly whining, feeling sorry for herself, thinking her dad hates her and will kill her the whole story becomes monotonous. This brought the story down to three stars.

Story
Love had cut me in so many ways I wondered if my heart could take any more. But then I saw him. He was my boss. A single father. And to top it off he was insolent. I didn’t intend to want him, that wasn’t my objective. But somehow I couldn’t say no. We shouldn’t have worked, but like witchcraft, I was under his spell. My heart’s been destroyed before. I’m not sure it can handle heartbreak again.

Storyline was good but male narrator was not.
Reviewed: 03-03-22
I struggled with this because of the narration. When he would speak as Olympia it was like listening to a really old woman having trouble thinking of what to say.
I believe it was Chapter 11 where they kept referring to Echo's girlfriend as Selena instead of Storm. Not sure how the editor missed it! Or even the Narrator when previously he had been saying Storm.
Both issues I found frustrating and made me just want to give up on it. I am glad I stuck it out because I wanted them to end up together.

Too much time repeating her fears
Reviewed: 08-17-21
The previous books kept me wanting more. With this one her being so scared and dramatic about everything over and over and over and over again was just irritating. I am sure there is a reason why the author wrote the character this way for this book but for me it just made the whole thing drag on.
I am expecting a lot less of Elloren's insecurities/fears in the next book. It may sound silly and wishful thinking but I truly hope Lukas survived maybe due to the power she was giving him in her kiss? I would love to have them together and once they defeat Vogel their bond/love be even stronger so that they remain together no matter what. I just love how he always believed in her, did all to help/save her and the fact that he fell so deeply when he never even believed in love. It made me love his character. I do like the character of Yvan but I prefer the character of Lukas. Besides he doesn't coddle her.
I am disappointed that I will have to wait so long for the next book but am looking forward to seeing her truly become the Black Witch.

I can't wait to start book 3. My only issue is that after having listened to the 1st book that was narrated by a woman and now it was a man it made it difficult to get past the characters sounding so different. Don't get me wrong he was good but my suggestion would be to have the same narrator through the trilogy.

Kept me interested throughout. The only criticism I have is that I wish the narrator could have managed a deeper male voice for Zack and a better voice for Lou Lou. I was able to overlook it after a few chapters.
I would still recommend this book!

I have been a fan of the show since its inception. The reason? Same as the reason they agreed to do it. Keeping it real. By not sugar coating it one sees the cruelty that some carry in their hearts by the condition and location you find these amazing pups. I just want to hold them and keep them safe forever. We need much, much harsher penalties for those animals! And I dont mean the dogs!
I can truly relate to Tania's experiences at school and so wish I could have had a Bluie to help me through it all. I am glad he was there for her.
This audible book was an emotional roller-coaster. I found myself yelling NO! and crying at the same time all while driving to work. Maybe that is why drivers kept their distance? I am so glad Tia did the reading because her story could only be told by her.
I have had respect for Tia since the first episode. Now even more so for you and those wonderful kids of yours.
Thank you for sharing your story.
