Story
I've sworn off men. All men. Famous last words, right? You're expecting some epic tale of reluctant love and my dramatic change of heart? Well, you're not going to get it. I'm stubborn. And headstrong. And I've just survived the worst three years of my life. After escaping an abusive boyfriend to live in hostels and cheap hotels while I worked my way across Europe, I've come to two conclusions. The first? Now that I'm back home, I'm going to squander my expensive culinary degree on a food truck that caters to the late night drunk crowd.

I appreciated that it speaks to women making their lives safe. Sometimes we have to be reminded it’s allowed.

The internal dialogue from the female lead character was entertaining. The author wrote with emotion and it was conveyed through voice, timing and delivery it conveyed it to the listening audience.

This story has angst, tragedy, bullies, death, lose drug addiction, caste systems, etc. but also new beginnings. I would like for there to be a female voice as well.

Story
I despise Erik Winter. He's arrogant and cruel - a man I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy - and by some twisted turn of fate, he's my new Olympic gymnastics coach. I've had to contend with gruff coaches in the past, but Erik is far worse. His stern demeanor complements a body built for intimidation, and his reprimands come from a mouth so cunning, I know it could strip me of my defenses - if I let it.

Story
They said write what you know so that's what I did. I wrote dirty, I wrote erotic, I wrote the truth. And then they called me a liar. But it's not me who's lying, it's them. Our story isn't for everyone. It's not even for us. So if you're looking for the fairy tale and the stupid prince on his dumb white horse, move along. You've got a hold of the wrong book. This is not your story, this is not your life, and this is not your opportunity to dip your frightened little toe into the dark pool of water and "try new things" and then pull it out and decide... #NotForMe.

Vanessa Mazur knows she's doing the right thing. She shouldn't feel bad for quitting. Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans, and none of them include washing extra-large underwear longer than necessary. But when Aiden Graves shows up at her door wanting her to come back, she's beyond shocked.

Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wisecracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were 18? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.

Story
For Rosemary Reynolds, life in tiny Morning Glory, Mississippi, is just like the fabric store she runs: it seems she's always waiting around for someone else to make the first stitch. Then a dear childhood friend passes away, leaving behind a gift that sends Rosemary on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Despite her mother's protests, Rosemary heads to New York City for a stay in her cousin's trendy SoHo loft. On her first day in town, a wrong turn leads her to Little Italy...and into the arms of handsome, outgoing Sal Genovese.

Amazing narrator!

The story was belivable, giving hope to those that trust in their gut when 'falling in love ''. There was the right amount of love, sex, drama and not too much of any one thing. The lose of a friend with beyond the grave ambitions for her friends isn't cheesy. I appreciate a narrator who can do male and female voices well. She brought realness to each character and along with the author helped me create images in my mind. I look forward to the next book by this team.

For journalist Dylan Alexander, it began with the discovery of a hidden tomb, thrusting her into the center of a gathering storm of violence and secrets. But nothing is as dangerous as the scarred, lethally seductive man who rises from the shadows to draw her into his world of dark desire and endless night. Fueled by pain and rage over a shattering betrayal, the warrior Rio has pledged his life to the war against the Rogues.

Would you listen to Midnight Rising again? Why?
It was interesting.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Midnight Rising ?
The realization of who the villian actually was.
Which character – as performed by Hillary Huber – was your favorite?
The narrator was very good. I thought her voice's of the main characters mother and best friend kept things light and amusing.
Any additional comments?
This had the best plot so far in the series. It was like reading a suspense thriller with addition of the female ghosts.
