I've read this book (the series) and I was skeptical with the narrator voice initialy, but just past the beginning Frangione's voice becomes very easy to listen to. Lover Awakened is a moving story of past, present and future love that will warm any heart.

This will always be my favorite book of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Getting to follow Zsadist's journey to happiness is everything. Jim did a great job narrating this one.

What's not to like.....awesome all the way around though in these early books too much time is spent on The Lessers.

OH MY! I am so addicted to this series. You must read them in order to understand the sequence of the characters and their significance to the Saga. Black Dagger Brotherhood series has everything TWILIGHT doesn't. If you are offended by violence & explicit sexual content, then this is not the series for you. J.R. Ward writes with such intelligence, quick wit and consistency. I laugh and cry as I become enthralled with each character.

Each book is as good as the one before which is very unusual. The narrator is definitely the ONE for this series. He actually seems to get better with each book. Spend the credits and buy the entire Black Dagger Brotherhood. I will definitely listen to these books again.

The Ward is the best- in my opinion no one comes close in this genre. Narration is perfection.

This book had me up, down, and all around. I wanted to really love the story about Zsadist, and to some extent I did. However, all the twists and turns left me gasping for breath and up until the wee hours of the night trying to finish the book. I cringed and cried with this book, and the villain, Mr. O, was truly sickening. I still like "Lover Eternal" better, but I really appreciated the epilog in the book because it was needed. Ward weaves a heady world, and the reader was fantastic as well. I highly recommend this title!
