Story
Here, in his own words, is the true story of America's wildest flying hero, of his extraordinary heroism, and of his greatest battle of all-the fight to survive. The World War II air war in the Pacific needed tough men like Colonel Pappy Boyington and his Black Sheep Squadron. The legendary Marine Corps officer and his bunch of misfits, outcasts, and daredevils gave a new definition to "hell-raising" - on the ground and in the skies.

Great autobiography. Should be required reading in high school!
Despite his failures in his personal life, Pappy Boyington showed how in the end, it’s important to rise to the occasion and make sure good prevails over evil.

Good story - just not a great story.
Too much unrealistic drama.
Still a good one to listen to.

Story
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

Eye opening & thought provoking.
Will make you think deeper about how prepared you are or are not for even the smallest disaster…let alone a EOTWAWNI event.

Story
America faces a full-scale socioeconomic collapse—the stock market plummets, hyperinflation cripples commerce, and the mounting crisis passes the tipping point. Practically overnight, the fragile chains of supply and high-technology infrastructure fall, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every major city. As hordes of refugees and looters pour out of the cities, a small group of friends living in the Midwest desperately tries to make their way to a safe-haven ranch in Northern Idaho.

Why do they cut the chapters Short?
Reviewed: 08-14-22
Each chapter appears to end before the story is finished. You don’t know if it’s just a few words or 5 minutes that has been cut.
Dick Hill narrates some top notch work & authors. I’m guessing he would say this is bush league editing.
