Horrible narration

I finally had to DNF this book about half way through. The story is probably pretty funny but also probably better read and not listened to. The narrator is very whiny, and it was never clear who's POV she was reading. She didn't speak in a male voice or tone and the chapters weren't titled so it took several sentences into each chapter to even figure out who was "speaking." Super annoying. I would probably give this book a better review once read because it did seem like it would be hilarious. Not worth the credit and I will probably look into returning it.

I felt like this book was just fluff. The first book was decent but this one's whole story line could have been summed up real quick in a chapter or two. But I will continue to book 3 just because I need to see what happens. Thankfully it's in the escape package because I would not have spent a credit on it.
Jason Clarke's voice is amazing as always, I wish more chapters were his. I have always loved Erin but the more I listen to her, the more kind of annoying it gets the way she drags out words. Like they are really breathy at the end of the word.
Overall, this book was just ok.

Story was compelling and kept me listening. Eric is a genius with numbers and part of a family he doesn't want to be in. Gah, I can't stand Isaac. Lol. And that cliffy?!?!? At least all the books are out now.... off to book 2.
Narrators were awesome as always. Oh man, Jason Clarke's voice..... *heart eyes*

I've read this and listened to it and the story never gets old. Oh to have the ability to be a wanderer... and to connect with someone so deeply..... le sigh. I would love to be able to visit even half of the locations in this amazing story.
Narrators are amazing, as per the usual.

A decent story, enough that I will def be listening to book 2 when it's out. The story doesn't actually span very much time. Cannon realizes in his relationship with Drew that she is hiding something and her true identity to him doesn't come out until the end, and then of course, a cliffhanger. Meghan March is the queen of trilogies/duets and this is no exception. Am looking forward to the next book!

I love a good hockey romance and this is no exception. I LOVE Heidi Jo's attitude and feisty-ness and the fact she is always doing something. Even if it's demeaning, per her father. You can't help but fall in love with her and Jason. They are perfect together.
Can I just say how much I LOOOOVE Jason Clarke's voice??? <3 all the hearts
Savannah was the perfect Heidi Jo <3

Dean and Lainey are everything! After one amazing night together, surprise a baby comes along. Their attitudes toward the whole situation were calm and collective. Lainey already has a genius son who turns out to have Dean as his AP Calc teacher. Can this baby and Dean's passion for Lainey stop his man-whoring ways....?
Andi and Zachary did amazing as always!!

I just love everything Aly Martinez writes. Her stories have so much depth and are so well written. And this is no exception. Flint trying to fight off his almost insta-love for Ash and Ash that keeps running from life out of necessity. All around a very good story.
Narrators were awesome, and Carson is becoming a fave male narrator.

I'll admit, Kendall Ryan is hit or miss for me. This is kind of your typical fall for your brother's best friend/best friend's little sister... but there were several points in this story that had me laughing out loud. "My brother is a slut." Not sure why, but I laughed so hard at that. It's still a good story.
And O.M.G..... Jason Clarke's voice.... GAH! He's a fave of mine but still, he sounds different in this one, deeper maybe. But either way, SWOONY, heart eyes kind of voice. I couldn't wait until his chapters <3
Virginia was on point as well.
I'm looking forward to more books after this, I would love to hear about the secondary characters' stories.

While I loved the Hotholes.... I did like this book, better than I thought I would considering the characters are in high school, which isn't usually my jam. I'm not a super fan of the way Melody was portrayed, considering I loved Defy, but I get characters evolve so it's not any kind of deal breaker for not listening to it.
Female narrator was fine, Angela is new to me. Maxine has very little time (one or two chapters maybe?). The male narrator, which in general was fine, I didn't really feel like his voice fit the character. Again, not a deal breaker, but by the time I listened to the entire book, I would have pictured Penn's voice a little deeper.
All in all, you can't go wrong with LJ Shen.
