The second book in the Filthy Trilogy - Eric and Harper's story continues....
He's the bastard of the empire, a savant, a genius, and a self-made success. He left it all behind, but he came back for her.
Their passion is a flame that ignites more than their bond. It ignites secrets, lies, and a puzzle that once solved, will shake them to the core. You know one deep, dark secret, but you do not yet know anywhere near everything.

Jason Clarke's voice is amazing as always, I wish more chapters were his. I have always loved Erin but the more I listen to her, the more kind of annoying it gets the way she drags out words. Like they are really breathy at the end of the word.
Overall, this book was just ok.

the storyline in this book has by far been the weakest of the three. it took me a minute to realize the entire book takes place over 48-hours essentially. so there is a lot of back-and-forth overly angsty scenes between the main characters that just feel drawn out. The whole series could have been capped to a book or two. five books were not necessary
the female voice is distractingly awful
