The Cadian Gate is broken, and the Imperium is riven in two. The might of the Traitor Legions, kept shackled for millennia behind walls of iron and sorcery, has been unleashed on a darkening galaxy. Among those seeking vengeance on the Corpse Emperor’s faltering realm are the Death Guard, once proud crusaders of the Legiones Astartes, now debased creatures of terror and contagion.

A war-weary Battle Group Praxis arrives at the Knight world of Kamidar, ruled by the Iron Queen Orlah, to return the queen's slain daughter and heir, who died in Guilliman's name. In truth, the Imperium's mission here is twofold: to strip Kamidar of its resources in order to resupply the flagging armada, and to prepare the Ironhold Protectorate to become part of the defensive Anaxian Line, a crucial bulwark for the Indomitus Crusade.

Voice Actor Nailed Huron
Reviewed: 03-07-23
great little filler book for me in between the siege of Terra series, and I got to say I thoroughly enjoyed this the voice actor was phenomenal and this actually filled in some questions I had about Gilligan's flagship. nothing like intensely crazy happens but you get a feel for how the red corsairs function and honestly I like the way Huron carries himself way better than Abaddon great listen

The Inner Walls are breached. Traitor vanguards tear towards the heart of the Palace, sensing victory. Desperate gambits are attempted: an unwilling saint is released into the ruins, as well as an enthusiastic sinner. A black sword rises, forged from spite, ready to create a legend. But amid the slaughter, Jaghatai Khan, Warhawk of Chogoris, prepares to launch the most audacious strike of the conflict. His goal is nothing less than the liberation of the Lion's Gate space port.

I want to know about what happens with the palace but this book wants to tell me about some dumb humans and the main character sinobi is the absolute worst. I don't care about her her story sucks all she does is make me mad when it pans to their story. I want to know about the Space Marines I don't care about these stupid humans it ruins the book for me I want to know about the fighting on the wall and the Imperial Fists and the blood angels and the white scars but no I get 10 minutes of them and then an hour of this stupid little worker girl with her tribe on some dumbass train it's stupid I almost don't want to finish this book because of it
