Story
Hockey coach Ashley Jaswal doesn't take nonsense from anyone … except her overbearing and superstitious family. They believe she's a good luck charm for her brother Jas, the newest Vancouver Canucks draft pick, forcing Ash to attend all his games as he rises up the NHL ranks, sacrificing her personal life (not that she has one—who decided hockey season needed to be 10 months long anyway?). Ash also clashes with Jas’s teammate, Canucks captain Devin Snyder.

Decent story bad narrator
Reviewed: 03-29-25
It was an interesting story with themes about sexism and racism which I appreciated and enjoyed. The narrator was not good. Her female voices were okay but her male voices were horrible. I wish there had been a different narrator so that I could have liked it more.

What do you do when you wake up in bed next to an Adonis god with a wedding band on your finger and no recollections of the night before? Except for maybe one single memory where you lost a hand of cards to the sexy stranger and agreed to marry him. Seriously, how drunk was I? Well, whatever the case, you sure as hell do not agree to stay married to the Greek god and be his wife!

Story
As a doctor, I walk a dangerously delicate balance of being compassionate but not overly invested. The same is true in my personal life - love is a luxury I can’t afford. It isn’t until Dr. Westin Grant breaks down all my walls and offers me a future, I find myself wondering if I’m brave enough to risk my heart. When who I was and who I’ve tried to become collide during my clinical trial, the fate of one patient changes everything.

Story
Rosie Belmont has been driving me wild for years. The good kind of wild. The bad kind of wild. But mostly the kind of wild that comes with wanting your best friend’s little sister and knowing you can’t have her. After living in the city, she comes blasting back into Rose Hill like a storm. Beautiful, messy, and chaotic. And one wide-eyed desperate plea for a job is all it takes for me to hire her.

Story
Faith Holland left her hometown after being jilted at the altar. Now a little older and wiser, she's ready to return to the Blue Heron Winery, her family's vineyard, to confront the ghosts of her past, and maybe enjoy a glass of red. After all, there's some great scenery there.... Like Levi Cooper, the local police chief - and best friend of her former fiancé. There's a lot about Levi that Faith never noticed, and it's not just those deep green eyes.

I really enjoyed the story learned. There were great characters and laugh out loud story moments. Initially I didn’t like the narrator’s voice when she was doing the descriptive parts of the story. I enjoyed her voice when she played the different characters which is why I learned to like her and enjoyed the book overall. I will continue listening to the series.,

Meet Randi Burnett—she’s brilliant, she’s beautiful, and she works for the bride. Missing groom? Intoxicated in-laws? Crying ring-bearer? You name it, she wrangles it. Too bad her personal life isn’t thriving like her side gig as a bridesmaid for hire. Recently dumped, Randi throws herself into her biggest challenge yet when she’s hired as a maid of honor and pretend best friend for an ice queen bride. There’s just one problem—the best man is infuriating, overprotective, and anti-marriage.

I really like Andrew Eiden’s narration. I didn’t think Krystal Hammond’s narration was that good. The story was okay but not everything was wrapped up and resolved in the last 30 minutes of the book without prior explanation.

Story
Everyone says I’m a bad girl. They’re only partly right - I don’t let fear rule me, and I certainly don’t care what people think. But I draw the line at sleeping with the enemy. As the daughter of Briar’s head hockey coach, I’d be vilified if I hooked up with a player from a rival team. And that’s who Jake Connelly is. Harvard’s star forward is arrogant, annoying, and too attractive for his own good. But fate is cruel - I require his help to secure a much-coveted internship, and the sexy jerk isn’t making it easy for me.

I love Katherine Center but this wasn’t my favorite. I couldn’t stop listening even though the story didn’t resolve some early questions and I didn’t love the narrator. I thought the characters were all a bit exaggerated. Nothing was explained until very late in the story. Because this was an earlier Center book I think she was still learning her writing style. I’ve loved her more recent books. I can’t wait to read the next one!!
