Story
Willie grew up outside of Damascus, Virginia, and life was never easy for her. She’s a hard-as-nails single mom who struggles to make ends meet with little support and few opportunities. She’s also the community “rescue mom”, taking in young people with no other place to go. All this while dodging an ex-boyfriend turned stalker who also happens to be a cop. Willie only made it to adulthood by being resilient. That toughness, combined with a series of odd jobs and side hustles, helps keep her unorthodox family afloat.

So good I’m starting the next one… NOW!!! Literally the best book series I’ve dived into. I’ve always loved Jack Ryan, Reacher, and the such. Then Morgan comes out of nowhere and knocks them both back. Right now it’s time to Escape Home.

Might be the best book I’ve ever read. Seriously. Stories like this usually feel forced or fake. I flew through this book and about to start the next one. Morgan is the most relatable character ever and let’s face it. This fiction could be a reality any day.

Pete Rose was a legend on the field. As baseball’s hit king, he shattered records that were thought to be unbreakable. And during the 1970s, he was the leader of the Big Red Machine, the Cincinnati Reds team that dominated the game. But he’s also the greatest player who may never enter the Hall of Fame because of his lifetime ban from the sport. Perhaps no other ballplayer’s story is so representative of the triumphs and tragedies of our national pastime.
