Difficult to get through

There is a large amount of scientific data that is provided in a well structured manner. Then followed up by a Judeo-Christian verse in an attempt provide religious context and validity. Which just undermines the scientific findings. If you are looking for a book to justify your religion this is it. If you are looking for a book to discuss scientific progress in mental health keep looking. At one point the author states that “any scientific findings should be compared to verses from the Bible, if one cannot be found” it makes the author “weary of the scientific data.” Which is the basis for the Spanish Inquisition and witch burnings throughout history. Sad to see mental health dragged through the mud because of 3000 year old fairytales.
