Story
Amaia Salazar, a young detective from the north of Spain, has joined a group of trainees at the FBI Academy in Virginia. Haunted by her past and having already tracked down a predator on her own, Amaia is no typical rookie. And this is no ordinary student lecture at Quantico. FBI agent Aloisius Dupree is already well acquainted with Amaia’s skills, her intuition, and her ability to understand evil. He now needs her help in hunting an elusive serial killer dubbed “the Composer,” and in solving another case that’s been following him his whole life.

Pretty Good

Maybe I have read too many mysteries lately, but I guessed the outcome within the first few chapters and spent the rest of the book waiting for it to come to fruition. Still an enjoyable read and the narrator was fantastic!

Story
New friends Sam, Margaret and Diana are thrilled to be getting out of the city for a girls’ weekend - they’ve bonded over their messy divorces, and every mile on the odometer feels like another step towards putting their exes in the past. But when car trouble halfway into their trip strands them in the most unlikely of mountain towns, they come face-to-face with the hurts and betrayals they were so desperate to leave behind. When Diana doesn't return home after a night out, Sam and Margaret's search for her reveals just how little they know about their friend.

Best Narration!

I wish Dan Stevens would narrate every audiobook! This was so enjoyable that I could hardly stop myself from listening and finished it in one day. Agatha Christie is, of course, the queen of mystery but I wasn’t sure if it would translate to an audio format - Dan Stevens’ narration was perfection!

Story
When she stumbles across the ad, she’s looking for something else completely. But it seems like too good an opportunity to miss - a live-in nannying post, with a staggeringly generous salary. And when Rowan Caine arrives at Heatherbrae House, she is smitten - by the luxurious “smart” home fitted out with all modern conveniences, by the beautiful Scottish Highlands, and by this picture-perfect family. What she doesn’t know is that she’s stepping into a nightmare - one that will end with a child dead and herself in prison awaiting trial for murder.

Fantastic Book - Highly Recommend!

I almost did not read this book at all due to the other negative reviews that floated to the top. Disregard the negatives, this book was fantastic! I finished it in one day. The story & narration was fabulous and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The protagonist was more than a little irritating in chapters 22-23 but it all came together & made a lot more sense in the end. Definitely recommend!
