Disappointed. I was expecting something not so racist. I was raised by Southern parents. I have lived in the South 45 years and traveled through the United States and not one did I speak to a person who was that fake Southern. I thought I was going throw up. Do your research not your fantasy.

I love reading romance books where the characters act like adults and not play silly mind games. Have to love small towns where people know your business and help you out....whether you want it or not. The communication between the characters using letters where they remain anonymous was great.
The narrators brought the book to life. Definitely recommend.

Ayesha Shetty lost her brother seven years ago, the same time she lost everything else important to her: her dreams, her fierce independence, and the man she loved. Not wanting to see her mother hurt anymore, she put her wild self away and became the dutiful daughter her mother needed and took on her brother’s role in the family business. Now her best friend’s big, fat Indian wedding is a chance to get away from her endless duties at the restaurant and maybe even have some fun (if she remembers how).

I find it difficult to read, no....understand cultures different from my own, who sacrifice their dreams because of 'customs', 'family honor' or the traditions of their families. To put love and happiness--- to be a good daughter or son because that is what is expected.
Super fast read.

Rachel Vinson is a bridesmaid for hire: part confidante, part wedding planner, and one hundred percent pretend BFF. Discretion guaranteed. Her next gig is a destination wedding - livestreamed and sponsored - for an Instagram influencer. That means a paradise of new contacts, which could be a boon to her already booming business. If Rachel can keep the very handsome and slightly too interested best man at bay, that is.

This was a fun read. I enjoyed it immensely. I laughed, I got stressed out, I loved Camden Lewis tinfoil hat beliefs about telephones and I especially loved Rachel's work ethic.
I don't know how the author did it but with ALL of the drama .... it was funny, the characters were professional and it has a great happily ever after.

Story
In a scrap heap within an abandoned factory, the greatest invention in history lies dormant and unused. By what fatal error of judgment has its value gone unrecognized, its brilliant inventor punished rather than rewarded for his efforts? In defense of those greatest of human qualities that have made civilization possible, one man sets out to show what would happen to the world if all the heroes of innovation and industry went on strike.

A Revolution-a Capitalist Revolution in 5 4 3 2 1
Reviewed: 01-22-22
I was introduced to this book in high school in 1971. I made it a point to read it the first of every year. This year (2022), it presented itself in a whole new light. I see our present government using this book as a instruction manual. It is a shame they are not listening to John Galt, Francisco d'Anconia or Ragnar Danneskjold. There is nothing wrong with a 'capitalist revolution'. It is certainly happening in China and the Chinese are definitely using this book ( the beginning) as a guide. It appears the government is over regulating all of the manufacturing. When will they fail? Soon I hope.
I definitely recommend this book be read before any child goes to college. The reader will realize that it is not selfish to want to make money and be the best you can be through hard-work, A excellent work ethic, to take pride in their accomplishments and have the ability to earn enough money to follow their dreams.

Lark has good things coming: a career as a board-game designer and a whirlwind romance with a handsome investor, who is so compassionate and supportive, he’s almost too good to be true. Jessica has always been cautious, but she can’t resist a brilliant TED-talking visionary. Holly has settled into a comfortable life with Jack, her husband of nearly twenty years. They’ve raised three children, they own a beautiful home, and they’ve founded a worthy charity. Lark, Jessica, and Holly are three strangers with so much in common it hurts.
