About this listen

From Sariah Wilson, the bestselling author of Roommaid, comes a captivating romantic comedy about what happens when a wedding party mixes business with romance.

Rachel Vinson is a bridesmaid for hire: part confidante, part wedding planner, and one hundred percent pretend BFF. Discretion guaranteed. Her next gig is a destination wedding - livestreamed and sponsored - for an Instagram influencer. That means a paradise of new contacts, which could be a boon to her already booming business. If Rachel can keep the very handsome and slightly too interested best man at bay, that is.

High-tech entrepreneur Camden Lewis must know: Who is this gorgeous, intelligent, and mysterious woman? Too good to be real. Convinced she’s a corporate spy out to tank his company, Camden’s not letting her out of his sight. But the constant surveillance is also opening his eyes to things about Rachel that he likes. If she’s a spy, she’s certainly the cutest one he’s ever seen.

As the week’s worth of wedding events march along, Rachel and Camden are learning almost everything there is to know about each other. Rachel’s made a career out of always a bridesmaid...but perhaps there’s a chance for her own trip down the aisle?

“Combining a fast-paced plot with a slow-burning romance, this is sure to give readers butterflies.”Publishers Weekly

The book has a nice story line when it was talking about the actual plot line ( not boys). Parts of the book are almost like middle school cheesy. I like to chose books with catchy titles without reading what it’s about. I didn’t know that it was a very child like “romance” book. Too many chapters were spent talking about how she wishes the jock boy would kiss her & going into detail for too long. Also the character is a grown up with a child’s mentality. She talks about how annoying she thinks her mother is, awkward sports talking around men, and comments about eating everyone’s foods, and Virgin daiquiris. But then she is supposed to be this business woman, so just too many odd things not going together to me. The ending is cute and pulls the topic together.

This was a fun read. I enjoyed it immensely. I laughed, I got stressed out, I loved Camden Lewis tinfoil hat beliefs about telephones and I especially loved Rachel's work ethic.
I don't know how the author did it but with ALL of the drama .... it was funny, the characters were professional and it has a great happily ever after.

Loved the book!

I love this book , It was very well written and I’m glad it was a clean wholesome romance . It made me feel happy. I would recommend it to anyone. I hope there’s a part two. It cut off too fast.

predictable yet enjoyable Lots of love and romance which is my favorite. I can't think of anyway it could have been improved.

fun book despite the stress

The premise was ok, but it had way too much silly description of their burning desire to kiss each other etc, followed by laughable descriptions of kissing. Dumb. Work on good story and interesting dialogue rather than this boring, unnecessary drivel.

Use fast forward

I loved the story, very heartwarming. Anyone looking for a lot of romance will be super satisfied. If you are looking for spice, this book only has .05 of it.

cute story

I read a lot of romance, but this one was a tough finish. It started out really well, it’s an interesting premise and the characters were fun. I was enjoying the storyline up until the love interest appeared. From that page on, the main character’s inner monologue became increasingly cliche and eye-roll inducing, with lines such as “his smile made me forget my own name.” Really? She was set up to be more clever and self-possessed than that. But once Camden is on the scene, she acts like a lovesick teenager. Other moments include listening to her drool over him shirtless for 8 minutes, as well as constant, relentless questioning of her self-created “rules.” Her telling herself every five minutes why she couldn’t be with him got on my nerves so much I wanted to turn off the book several times.

I wanted to see how things worked out with the wedding she was working at (which was apparently what the plot was supposed to be about). The parts about the wedding were tolerable. The rest was painful. I couldn’t wait for it to be over.

Narrator was fantastic and made the story come to life!!!

Funny, fun characters that were somehow both relatable and completely outrageous. I don’t want to spoil anything, but so I’ll just say- I highly recommend you read this book! The HEA was sooo sweet!

I did wish for his POV a few times, just to get what he was thinking during some of the craziest scenes. But, even with just her thoughts, the story was very entertaining!!!

LOVED THIS AUDIOBOOK!!!!
