Goodness. I loved hearing 23 year old Steve’s perspective of the world. I especially loved his narration AS that 23 year old!

I was so deeply involved in Luz’s plights and hoped for some resolution. However, that is how collective trauma is…no resolution. As an Boricua emergency consultant, all of clients will receive a copy of this book. An emotional read for PRcans. A must read for everyone else.

I am all for forest bathing but marking trails w rocks does not follow the principles of Leave No Trace nor Reciprocity. Forests are ancient, sovereign, and sacred. There was no reverence for the forest itself. This book teaches us that the forest is another resource to extract for our pleasure with no thought about our connection to the forest. Like Yoga, Americans continue to stop these cultural appropriations

Just wheb I think Rosie can’t possibly be be more amazing - this! What a powerful story and extraordinary performance. Weird Puerto Rican $#IT! Haha.
I hope she continues to heal. We Puerto Ricans suffer from intergenerational and colonial trauma. May we all do the deep work that Rosie has done to heal and walk in love.

Although I have the app subscription, it doesn’t have the ability to slow the speed down like the Audible audiobook has.
I have neurological speech issues so I appreciate learning at a speed I can speak at.

I cringed every time I heard the over exaggerated accents performed by the supporting cast. It’s a shame the “history” only reflects the casualties to the military and not the civilians.
